Vegan friendly retreat

I went to Fukushima last month and stayed at Dana Village and had the most wonderful experience. I was really welcomed by the host (Minori) and her family. They be taken over an old school house and offer seasonal retreats. I was just there for one night to stay in the guesthouse. All the food us vegan, and I had the most amazing pancakes and smoothie for breakfast. When I paid, the owner didn't have quite enough change, so have me a big bag of tomatoes and a wonderful melon. Her dad is a melon farmer, who created his own unique melon. It was delicious!

Minori was an exceptional host, and I was made to feel really relaxed and at home. From the free herbal tea they had brewing, to the family friendly atmosphere playing with her daughter in the morning. Everyone spoke fluent English, and we had some really interesting chats about veganism.

The bedroom was comfortable and I slept really well. All the food was as locally grown as possible, and it felt fresh. We all are together and we had as much as we wanted.

The building was so lovely and it felt like a real break. I highly recommend it!

Pros: Great local vegan food , Opportunity to spend time with vegan farmers, Family friendly
