Great Dosa, Average Curry - Edit
I've been here many times over the years. I come back for the dosa and the fact that the menu has interesting vegan dishes - It's not just the regular dish minus something.
Read moreThis last time I had the dosa (of course) and the aubergine curry. The dosa was perfect, really it was superb. The aubergine curry was just too full of oil for me to enjoy. It was no better than a takeaway curry, which given the price is disappointing.
The selection of 'breads' is great though, so definitely try them instead of filling up on rice. No dry nann here!
Pros: Large Dosa is gorgeous, 'Breads', Friendly staff
Cons: Expensive, Aubergine curry was average

Amazing value for pre-theatre deal - Edit
This is the best south-Indian food we had in Glasgow - both the dosa and the curries taste absolutely great.
Read moreUsually, this place is rather expensive (15 pounds or more for a main), but you get half price on all mains during their pre-theatre hours, at which point the food is of very good value.
Pros: Amazing south-Indian food, great value during pre-theatre hours

Incredible GF/vegan Indian - Edit
Mysore Masala Dosa was incredible. Pappadums fresh & crispy. Coconut sauce was good. Big serving of soup came free with my meal. Friendly staff are happy to answer questions about which items are vegan and allergy-free. Menu is labelled, too. I got takeaway but the space is so pretty, it'd definitely be worth eating in. It's the only 100% GF Indian restaurant here. Come if you can!!!

I was here recently for dinner with my meat-eating parents and this place has got better over the years.
Read moreWide range of vegetarian and vegan options, and apparently the kitchen is gluten free so no naan breads or chapatis but plenty of exciting rice and chickpea based alternatives.

Amazing for gluten free vegans - Edit
Review from May 2016 - Dakhin really is fantastic for people with dietary requirements, I can see why it's so popular. I think their menu is 100% gluten free and their vegetarian options which contain dairy are clearly marked.
Read moreAt £10-12 a curry - not including sides - it is a tad more expensive than I can normally justify spending on a main, but they do half price mains on Sunday afternoons (Saturdays too, I think) and on early evenings. We shared starters, two types of flavoured rice (opted not to order the plain one), curries, a MASSIVE dosa, and a selection breads. With an Irn Bru my share came to around £19, which for two courses and sides and a drink I thought was pretty good. No vegan desserts but with mains and sides so varied and delicious I can make do without a sorbet.
Staff were attentive and very helpful when we were all trying to decide what to order; there were 5 of us at a vegan meetup and we all wanted to eat everything we could! I will definitely be back.
Pros: All gluten free, Great flavours, Friendly staff
Cons: Bit expensive
