Tradition goes vegan - Edit
Several courses to choose from, all delicious. I ordered the Vegan moussaka, a cream of broad beans with caramelized onions and a beaten eggplant in tomato sauce to eat with pita. I highly recommend it!

Get starters as tapas - Edit
We had several starters to share as a main, along with one main. The starters and salad were nice but as the other reviews have said the main was bland.

Clearly Labelled, Wide Variety of Choices - Edit
Clearly labelled vegan options with a wide array of options. Found the food okay, if not a little bland, and portion sizes slightly on the smaller side.

Various vegan options - Edit
Clearly labeled vegan options. We had the vegan musaka and the giovetsi noodles. The musaka tasted a bit bland but it was nice trying out a traditional dish. The Giovetsi tasted good. The staff was friendly and sweet wine to taste on the house after we finished our food. If you're in Lassi this is a safe option for vegan food.

Good vegan options - Edit
Clearly labelled vegan options takes the stress out of ordering. Friendly staff. We've been staying in a small village in Kefalonia in the north west of the island and came into Lassi especially to try the vegan moussaka after reading positive reviews about it. While it was great to have so many clearly labelled vegan options on the menu, it was all quite bland and needed a lot of extra salt n pepper. Portions were big. I enjoyed it and would probably come back if we were staying closer, but not worth the 40-minute drive from where we're based. Also, we were sat overlooking the road which was busy & noisy. Not enough to spoil the experience but if we went again we'd sit further inside.

Excellents plats végétaliens - Edit
Nous avons pris 3 salades entièrement végétaliennes : recettes variées, originales et très savoureuses. Avons apprécié la fraîcheur des produits et les herbes aromatiques disposées dans chaque plat.

They have a number of options all clearly listed. The staff are knowledgeable to the point where they offer a free drink at the end of the meal and brought me a different option as the normal one has honey in it.

Good selection of vegan food - Edit
We saw this restaurant here on happy cow app so went to eat there last night to check it out. The waiting staff understood vegan, it was clearly marked vegan on menu. I got as my starter fave beans with caramelised onions and capers, my husband had the mushrooms in white wine. Then for mains I had the black bean salad and he had Stuffed tomato and pepper (Gemista). They were huge portions and really tasty, couldn’t finish it so got a doggy bag to takeaway.

Personal favourite was the garlic mash potato which is smooth so you can use as a dip, but also goes great with the giant beans. Owner is friendly and prices are very reasonable.

VEGAN MOUSSAKA - Edit
Located on a relatively busy main road in Argostoli, shaded from the late afternoon sun, Da Veronica offered a quick and polite service and the food was some of the best we had on Kefalonia.
Read moreWe had garlic bread and home made hummus to start as well as spring rolls followed by a vegan moussaka each as a main. The moussaka was large and very filling so be careful of what you order prior to this. The taste was authentic, creamy and almost cheesy, would definitely recommend to anybody visiting Argostoli.
Pros: Good amount of vegan options , Vegan moussaka , Good value for money
Cons: On a main road

Nice restaurant for the evening. The service ist really nice and attentive. Has a full vegan starter menu of which every item is a great recommendation, whereas the vegan versions of the greek mains fall behind a little and are a little bland. Half a litre of the house wine is 4€.

Veal and lamb on menu - Edit
We wanted to go for for lunch here, because of the vegan options here. It is true that there is a section on the menu with vegan options, but there is also veal and lamb on the menu. We left disappointed, since we dont want to spend money at a place that buys and sells veal and lamb.
Read moreIf that is something you dont mind, this might be a good venue for you, otherwise avoid it (sadly, it is hard to find a place in kefalonia without veal and lamb).
Usually I report this type of restaurants to happycow to have them removed (veal and lamb are reasons for not listing a 'veg options' restaurant), but since the possibilities are so little for vegans on the island and this place has a vegan section on the menu, decided not to report it and just write this review instead.
Pros: Vegan section on menu
Cons: Veal and lamb on the menu

Vegan Menu - Edit
Lovely restaurant and bar on the "main strip" in Lassi. Seating is upstairs, above a jewellers and clothes store of the same name.
Read moreWhat got our attention was the sections of the menu clearly marked vegan. We visited on our last night and got a little carried away, ordering 5 starters and one main and a salad between 2, forgetting there would be complimentary bread! They have veganised versions of some classic Greek dishes, as well as the usual dishes that are already vegan.
We had: stuffed vine leaves, fava with capers and caramelised onions, mushrooms in white wine garlic and thyme, battered courgettes and aubergines, chips (we're British), a Mediterranean salad with dill, and the vegan moussaka. The staff seemed pretty amused at how much we ordered, obviously knowing that the portion sizes are generous! They were, like all people we met on Kefalonia, friendly and laid back. We weren't rushed to finish, which was helpful given the challenge we set ourselves! They kindly boxed up what we couldn't eat so we could take it away.
The moussaka is pure comfort food and if any supermarket sold this version in the UK, I'd live off it. A perfect mix of beautifully seasoned aubergines with a light but satisfying white sauce.
The addition of caramelised onions to fava isn't something I've tried before, but imo this should be standard! They lift the texture and balance the flavour of the split pea mix.
The vine leaves were delicious, and served with lemon, which seems to be standard in Kefalonia.
The fried aubergines and courgettes were lovely, probably a little too much for us with the chips as well! The batter was light and crispy and didn't leave much oil on the plate. They could do with the addition of an umami sauce, maybe something like tzatziki, as a starter just of these would be difficult to eat without something to cut through the oil.
The mushrooms in white wine, garlic and thyme seems to be a Kefalonian dish as we saw it everywhere we went on the island. As people that would happily eat mushrooms at every meal, we were not disappointed.
The salad was light and refreshing, although it's a full size, huge bowl, so if you're planning to stuff your face the way we did, maybe ask for a side salad instead!
The bread was lovely, when we finally got to it the next day!
With a litre of wine and all of the above, the total bill was €46, which is an absolute bargain.
Da Veronica's is a must visit. It was lovely to eat at a restaurant that understood what a vegan is!
Pros: Great staff, lots of clearly marked vegan options.
Cons: Overlooks the main road, so ask to sit at the back
