Easy fast filling vegan option! - Edit
Pretty great option if you’re on the go or are just starving and don’t want to pay $$$ for a sit down restaurant. Got the veggie burrito with beyond and it was supper filling.

I.had the burrito and it was good portion, but the beyond meat Is a patty, not ground. They just cut the patty in half and put it in the burrito. next time I will get fajita veggies. they clearly mark what vegan options they have though.

A fair price veg option - Edit
Relatively inexpensive (we averaged about $13 per dish). Mexican rice is not vegetarian (but at least clearly labelled online), brown rice and beans don't have a lot of flavor, but the salsas definitely did and made up for it when everything was mixed together. Beyond Meat available - looked like a burger patty chopped up as opposed to a ground product.

Inedible food, poor service - Edit
I asked for a veggie burrito and got rice & hot sauce rolled up in a flour tortilla. When I tried to talk to the manager, he blew me off. Skip this place.

Ok food, Mexican rice is not vegan - Edit
I didn't think this was much to write home about, it was average though appreciate the option to add beyond.

More vegan options than previously reported - Edit
Previous reviews stated that Da Crack didn’t have guacamole. They do indeed have guacamole and now offer beyond meat that can be added to tacos, taco bowls or burritos. I had a burrito with Mexican rice, black beans, guacamole, cabbage and olives and it was delicious. Friendly service, long line. Can order online and pick up to avoid the line.

Total Disappointment - Edit
We got take out and orders ahead to be ready at 6. It wasn’t ready you til 6:20 and my wife and my order were wrong. She ordered a burrito no meat with guacamole and in the comments asked for guac on the side but got no guacamole at all. Also she asked for Mexican rice but got 2 kinds of beans. I got a bowl with no meat and guacamole but also got no guacamole. On top of the incorrect orders the food was basic, edible but not flavorful at all. The kids got beyond meat and they liked them. Also the online ordering through chownow is really clunky, for example there is no way to add guacamole to the beyond meat burrito.

2 options veggie burrito or bowl. Sizable portions for the reasonable price. Also have the Beyond Burger option to add to your burrito, it is a bit on the pricey side then.

easy to make vegan! - Edit
The food was decent, but not super flavorful, I got the “hot” sauce and should’ve gone up to “lava” because I could hardly taste the heat. The menu is really easy to navigate (like chipotle), and you just list all of the things you want while a server at the window records it on a sheet. Really nice knowing exactly what’s in your food, as they have highlighted vegan options stared on the menu. Returned again because my family was getting poke and they had some of the only veg food in a walking radius.

Boooooooooooo - Edit
The name is misleading! We waited 45 mins for 2 vegan burrito... their (veggie) option just means no meat.... it’s not substituted for anything else. Nothing had flavor.. rice, black beans, pinto beans, cabbage and guac.... it’s EXACTLY that... no lime squeeze no salt, absolutely NOTHING.... I’m sure the omnivores or vegetarians may have a different experience but if you are PLANT BASED.... i wouldn’t go here.

Good but not great - Edit
Mexican food is pretty easy to do well. There is t much out here in south shore for a vegan so it was a pleasure to have Da Crack as an option. But alas they just aren’t as good as the reviews say. The guacamole: absolutely no salt and flat and tasteless! The bean and rice burrito: no beans!! The portions are large and the price for Poipu is low. Go here if you must, but don’t raise your hopes too high and it’ll be ok. :(

No guacamoli - Edit
As a vegetarian, a big part of my Mexican food is guacamoli. I waited in line a super long time to learn they don't have guacamoli... what kind of Mexican place doesn't have guacamoli. My family and I left and did not order.

Carry out burrito was rather plain, but options are limited in this area, so I was grateful to have it. Be sure to add guacamole, if you like it. The burrito I was served was mostly rice; could have used more beans and veggies.

vegan friendly - Edit
The menu is clearly labeled vegan and the vibe is chill. I got the "veggie bowl" and found it average. The bummer was that there were not actually veggies placed in the bowl in place of meat (which I had expected when I ordered the "veggie" option), it was just rice and beans and the toppings I requested. It was still good and I am sure if I got it with guacamole (they were out at the time) and had it in a burrito it would have been just what I was looking for.

Quick Mexican meal - Edit
Grabbed lunch here one day, not bad Mexican food. There's no tofu available, but I got a 'bowl' with rice, beans, cabbage, pico de gallo, and guac. If you order the veg bowl/burrito/taco they add guacamole without charging you extra (like they do for meat options). The menu clearly labels vegan options, and gluten free for anyone who is celiac. There's really nowhere to sit outside (it's basically a counter), but we took it back to our hotel and ate on our patio, they will cover in tin foil so it stays hot!

Good & relatively healthy fast food - Edit
This was tasty enough to be worth the $10 for a giant, shareable burrito. The ingredients were fresh and it drew a small crowd of nice people. Definitely not as good as Mexican food in California but a very reasonable quick meal in Kaloa. I hate to say it but I imagine the burritos with cheese or meat might be more interesting.

they can do vegan - Edit
A little pricey for what it was -- more than $30 for three of us. On the other hand it's nice to get a taco put together just the way you want here in Poipu. We had two burritos and a bowl. They steer you away from any non-vegan ingredients, one weird thing was that the tortillas were cold. Spanish rice had chicken stock but they let you know that. Very tasty and my term sons favorite when we come to town.

You may expect more from your tacos/burritos - Edit
This place is A-OK. My husband and I each got a veggie burrito about 30 minutes before Da Crack closed one night. We were staying at the Hyatt just down the street, although we drove instead of walked because it was dark and Poipu Road is not well lit.
Read moreWe live in LA, so we have a ton of amazing Mexican food in our backyard. This just didn't really stand up to our usual expectations. I would say a good half of the veggie burrito was plain cabbage. They were also out of guacamole, which makes for a somewhat blah vegan burrito (we left off any cheese or sour cream to make this vegan). The bottom of the burrito was just plain flour tortilla. It was rolled kind of like someone who wasn't super familiar with rolling burritos. In LA, they roll them tight!
I did appreciate that they use vegetarian beans and they definitely are familiar with vegetarian/vegan requests. The guy who took our order was super nice, too. Overall I'd say this was fun to try because of the humorous name, and because it was a cheap option near our hotel. But the burrito we had at Tortilla Republic was way better than this place.
Pros: Vegetarian beans
Cons: Out of guac
