Needs a little more Vegan love - Edit

They were all out of vegan cupcakes while they were wealthy with the regular stock. Recommend calling ahead.
Staff was very nice and offered to make a vegan cake jar to-go. This was layered with vegan frosting where 4 layers equated to 1/2 frosting & 1/2 cake. The frosting tasted like eating a straight spoonful of Country Crock vegan butter (Maybe they forgot the sugar/additional ingredients?). Could not do the frosting, so ended up dissecting the jar to eat only the chocolate cake. Cake wasn't bad. Staff indicated the jar was equivalent to 2 cupcakes, but it measures at 8oz for $8.75. It's visibly the same size as the regular cupcake my friend had & the jar may have been overflowing if I attempted cramming it in there 😆
Friend said that the regular cupcakes was ok, but could have been more moist.
We believe in 2nd chances so will monitor reviews and maybe try again. Please post if the vegan frosting gets any better or there are additional options. Aquafaba whip cream would be nice!

Pros: Good customer service, Cute place

Cons: Vegan cupcakes out of stock, Cake jar should be larger for price, Improve Vegan frosting 🙏

Try Them - Edit

There really isn’t much in this area unless you drive nearly an hour north into Chicago. That being said, this place deserves some love for including vegan treats in their bakery.

They had one vegan ice cream flavor when I went (soy based vanilla), and 3 vegan cupcake flavors. Cupcakes were ok. They were a little dense; unsure if they were gluten free to contribute to this texture? I would certainly swing by again if in the area.
