Good local takeaway curry

We didn't pay much attention to this for quite a few years as it looked a bit dodgy and was down the quieter end of Longueville road back towards Epping Road.

What a shame.

It gets 4 stars because it’s really well priced with good portion size which is sometimes rare these days especially on the North Shore. It’s not glamorous or ritzy and they serve meat products. If it was pricier it would be a 2.5 from me.

Good selection of options, made daily, plenty to choose from, very happy. A couple of items were a bit heavy on the salt.

Of the items in the photo they are all vegetarian and only two of them aren’t vegan, did that make sense. I think those two have a creamy sauce (it’s a black lentil and maybe a mushroom dish). The sag aloo (spinach and potatoes), chana masala (chickpeas), mixed vegetable curry, aloo mater (potatoes and peas) and Tarkan dahl (lentils) are all Vegan and marked accordingly.

Samosas and Bhaji (in photos) are vegan and they do naan breads as well.

Famous quotes (considering our son isn’t fully vegan…. yet), we ordered a portion of butter chicken for him.

Guy serving “That isn’t vegan because it was cooked with ghee”

Our response “…..and it has chicken in it”

We all laughed

Nice family run business, support them if you can.
