You know the kind of place where everyone's just so chill that showing any sign of being disconcerted will invariably betray how utterly unzen you are, because really people like you are what's wrong with the world. You wonder whether the pervasive presence of a chilled out ambient soundtrack is what's actually raising your pulse as you enter the fourtieth minute of waiting for your (very simple) food without any sign. You question whether you should maybe move to an alpaca farm and weave jumpers for tourists from now on. On Sundays you'd go to the market and peddle your handmade, artisanal piercings. Leave it all behind, you know? But the you realise no, actually they just didn't do a very good job and you won't fix capitalism by not complaining about the food you ordered with your hard-ish earned money. Also there's always a guy who, with admirable earnestness, seems to have made it his entire personality to look and dress like Jesus. You know the place.
Read moreFrom the outset, it's a cute little restaurant with a hippie vibe matching the surrounding town of Pisac. Sadly they're taking that attitude a bit too far by being very slow and serving something only just resembling what you actually ordered.
Our Bali bowl came without any sauce or apology (the listed gado gado sauce being kind of an important part of the whole thing). After we complained we got a small pot of pure tahini. After we complained again we got a watery resemblance of a peanut sauce. Despite us being the only two people in the restaurant, the pizza took almost an hour and what should've been medium felt very small. Caramelized onions were really just charred onions. The Buffalo wings were great, though!
All of this would've been fine if staff had been upfront about it. But don't try to serve stuff that's, as it were, half-baked and think we won't notice. Instead there were a bunch of people just hanging around indifferently. The biggest problem for us was how long it all took because we were planning on quickly moving on through the sacred valley.
All in all a shame because you could tell the quality of the produce was very good. Just try harder and show you actually care.
Pros: Buffalo wings, good produce, nice hippie vibe if you're into that
Cons: slow, wrong/incomplete order, quite salty

Hey I'm really sorry about your experience here. Please let us know in person if you didn't like your meal because we wouldn't have charged you for it. We WILL speak to the chef about these things. I don't know why your bowl would be served without sauce? Also Time! Super important. I really appreciate the review so we can improve with our kitchen staff, but judgements of people here & how they dress can be hurtful and are unecessary.
