The oasis... - Edit
I've lived around Morgan Hill for most my life, 12 years of that being vegan. a few times a month I would drive 30+ miles for food. Seriously. Monterey, Santa Cruz, or San Jose. There was nothing between that triangle of delicious snacky-wacks. Craft Roots is an oasis. Get there. Eat, drink, and find joy. Do it now. Do it right now!

Delicious! - Edit
We stopped in for a late dinner while travelling and were really impressed! Even though the menu isn’t large, there are still great options, even for kids (Beyond Burger, fries, Mac’n’Cheese). I had the Power Bowl with a Kimchi-Miso sauce (requested extra sauce) and my husband had the King Oyster Mushroom Sandwich and we both cleaned our plates 😋.

Take All My Money! - Edit
Every single time I have come to Craft Roots I sneak a peek at the back to see if wizards work here!! My fiancé and I used to travel to Santa Cruz for vegan food of this quality and are over the moon of the variety and sheer amazingness of what they have to offer. We ALWAYS get the cauliflower bites and fries. The chicharrones are divine and their summer chopped salad is EVERYTHING with the tempeh bacon and avocado. Not to mention their bartender, Nicholas, whipping up the most bomb beverages with house made syrups (guava, earl grey, strawberry, Kiki, blackberry etc.) I would set up a cot in the parking lot and eat here forever if they allowed it

A Long Overdue Addition to the Morgan Hill Area - Edit
Craft Roots is still in soft opening mode, but I've been really pleased with everything so far. From authentic and unique craft cocktails with house made syrups to a well curated beer/kombucha/nitro tea draft board to delicious vegan food, Craft Roots is playing its cards well and I'm excited to see what the full opening will bring. It's a relief to have a place in town where we can get anything on the menu and not have to worry about consuming any factory farm animal products. The oil that they use for their fried foods (oat bran, I believe) is tasty and doesn't upset my stomach like some other heavier oils can, such as canola oil.
Read morePros: Nice atmosphere, Attentive and charismatic bartenders, Lots of unique house made sauces and syrups
Cons: The interior can fill up quickly, can be loud

Wouldn't know... - Edit
Was excited to hear about this place, checked their website and said they were open on Sundays. Got some friends and went, nope, not open on Sundays. At least not the Sunday we went there. Haven't been back.

They're still in soft opening so hours of operation have been shifting while they turn the restaurant into a well oiled machine. Give 'em another chance. It's worth it, I promise.

Obsessed - Edit
When I heard about this place I was BEYOND excited! I went twice during the first week and I keep going back. This place makes me so happy. I feel so at home with the food and beer. We’ve needed a place like this for a while. It’s so nice to have a somewhere I can go to and I don’t have to make a meal out of sides or completely change something on the menu and confuse people!!! The food is amazing and the employees are super friendly, good job guys!

10/10 - Edit
This long-awaited gem has finally settled into Morgan Hill's growing downtown. No disappointments so far - other than wanting them to be open 24/7! 😄The food is nothing short of perfect! Soft opening still underway, with menu expansion coming soon. So basically we've been getting a delicious taste of what's to come! The ambiance is great and the owners have done a fabulous job creating a comfortable, homey place with a touch of class. I have read many local reviews, and have to agree that ALL of the 100% plant-based menu options have been fantastic, as well as the excellent craft beers and cocktails. Wish there was a seat with my name on it - the restaurant has been crowded but in a good way. The owner, J, makes a point to come out and talk to guests. Great vibes at Craft Roots!!
