Also has a front counter full of in house baked goods like cinnamon buns, cheesecake, and several pies. A one stop vegan shop. Relocated from 681 Barton St E. Open Mon-Sun 10:00am-7:00pm. Always open holidays.

Best vegan store and take out in the GTA - Edit
This place has been going strong for 10 yrs now. All vegan friendly options and a fresh food counter (with plenty of meal options, drinks and desserts) to top it off. Service is great and the energy with their insta posts is fantastic. If you haven't tried them out where have you been?

Excellent selection of unique vegan items! - Edit
They had a great selection of unique vegan grocery items. They have everything from fridge and freezer items, snacks, household items and even baked goods. They did have some hard to find vegan items and products from companies I have never seen before. Prices were reasonable and staff were friendly.

Fabulous little all-vegan grocery store with an awesome deli counter and pastry case! Loved the vegan turkey sandwich, and the raspberry-filled puff pastry was to die for! My wife had a breakfast sandwich and loved that, too! I wish that they were located in my home town, but I’ll definitely visit every time I pass through Hamilton! ❤️❤️❤️

Best Vegan Food Shopping In Hamilton - Edit
A small but mighty shop on Main Street that provides some of my favourite plant-based options in Hamilton. The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful, and they really try to engage with their customers. The baked goods are delectable, especially the cinnamon buns. Cheese options are amazing. They stock the large tubs of Earthbound. Did I mention that the cinnamon buns are incredible? I love shopping at Coven.

My husband and I love Coven! We go fairly regularly to stock up on specialty vegan products and to grab some delicious deli sandwiches, pizza buns, challah and a variety of sweets (pop tarts!!!)… also it’s a kosher establishment! They just opened a new one in Kitchener! #Veganuary

Great shop with tons of hard-to-find vegan items! Frozen, refrigerated, pantry and prepared/bakery selections were all great. I was traveling so could only stock up on shelf-stable items, but I’ll be back with a cooler next time! The peanut butter cookie and peach danish were also great

This is a small but well stocked vegan grocery store that includes an excellent bakery. The cinnamon buns are huge and delicious and in my opinion are the best. The bulk of the products are vegan prepared foods and there is a great range of them! From steamed buns to vegan ‘calamari’ and ‘shrimp’, unique frozen pizzas and pierogies to hamburger patties in bulk and many kinds of vegan cheez. Having shopped in many other cities, this is a selection that is hard to find in one place. We walked away with a full bag of items to take home. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in Hamilton and are delighted to have found this place.

As soon as you step in the store you feel welcome. The store employees are super friendly and knowledgeable. They honestly give you the best recommendations. I honestly can say the cinnamon buns are the best I have ever had. Their Sunday breakfast is delicious. We like to get and sit in nearby Gage Park.

I sure enjoyed my time browsing all of the offerings at Coven. I ordered my deli food and took a look around. Lots of variety and lots of options for ready to eat or frozen take home foods. When I'm in Hamilton again, I'll be back!

If you are looking to make a charcuterie board, or looking for soy cream, soy curls, cheezes, ‘seafood’...or Linda McCartney’s pies, or Beyond products... THIS IS THE PLACE! Oh, and they have an amazing in-house bakery too. What can’t these folks do? Worth the drive to Hamilton ❤️

I come from out of town for Coven. They have the best selection of vegan cheeses and meats including hard-to-find (in all of Canada) brands. Their house-made products are delicious and they have baked goods ready to grab. There’s a parking lot right behind on Sherman that is super convenient. Be prepared to spend some money as these prepared and imported goods can be pricey and they have so much that you want that a Coven haul can set you back a little - but it’s worth it!
