Terrible food terrible service avoid avoid - Edit
Sack the manager and staff and start again the food we had was terrible and was a nightmare to order. The staff told us they copl everything in mixed fryers. When I requested oven cooled chips they were shocking. The burger was overcooked and deconstructed and just smothered in bbq sauce. The corn ribs were burnt and covered in a mix of sweet chili and a white sauce. It's was disgusting.

Decent food for the price, a few vegan options. - Edit
Green King (chain) pub. Has separate veggie/vegan menu, which is a bonus, but it mostly provides veggie options - only a couple of mains for vegans and a few desserts. Food was quite good for the price, just simple pub stuff but hit the spot! Staff very friendly. Apparenlty changing to a new menu as of 20/04/2023 with more vegan options.

Great pub grub - Edit
Good options, best vegan pub grub I’ve had. The menu has definitely improved from previous reviews. The cauliflower wing starter can be made vegan by asking for no mayo.

Delicious vegan food - Edit
Ate here recently, I very much enjoyed the chickpea and sweet potato curry, I also had the apple pie with vegan ice cream so good, can’t wait for a return visit as I look forward to trying the falafel burger.

A good separate vegan menu is now available with reasonable prices. I tried the veg tart which was nice but needed a veg gravy to be great. Vegan fish and chips also available which was also nice

Enjoyed visiting this hotel restaurant as it had a vegan menu with a choice of starters, mains and deserts. I had the beetroot, butternut and sweet potato tart that was really good.

Fantastic veggie options! - Edit
As a local, I regularly visit the County Hotel for food. They have a brilliant veggie and vegan menu, with lots of options and substitutes. The food is delicious, I recommend the falafel burger, 10/10! Wheelchair accessible and dog friendly, the staff are very welcoming and accommodating. Best restaurant for veggie food in Peebles - since there is nowhere strictly plant based 🙂🌱
