Good buffet chain - Edit
Now it is better and cleaner because of renovation. There are more interesting options here than in more local buffets, but it is also a little bit more expensive, but still very fair price. The variety of sides is large, but the same every day.

Cheap, easyfood - Edit
Great buffet with a lot of options. There are dishes with eggs though, and if you want to be sure to eat vegan you should probably avoid the fake meat as well, but even without those there are still many options with tofu, vegetables, seaweed etc.
Read moreNot all dishes are equally good so it's usually better to go a second time once you have identified what you like.
There is white and red rice available for free that you can grab yourself once you have paid for your food.
Pros: many vegan options, cheap, fast
Cons: vegan options not clearly labelled

Fast Veg Eating - Edit
The plethora of food here can be overwhelming and exciting when you first walk into the store. It is casual, buffet style cuisine. However, it is pay by weight, and lunch lines can be somewhat long. So, you have to think on your toes if you are vegan - is that or isn't it vegan? Trust your gut. With so many vegetable choices, you don't need to worry about what may or may not be vegan. There's plenty to choose from that is clearly vegetarian.
Read moreBecause you pay by weight, you don't have the option of going back to get more of something. This is good and bad - good, because you won't overeat, well, not as much. This is bad because if you really like something, you are inclined to not want to go back.
Also, just saying…. that if you aren't a local Taipei citizen, your plate may be noticeably… well, Western. If you find your plate overflowing, it's because there are SO many choices, how can you not fill up? In particular, I am a fan of having more than 1 Chinese vegetable available for consumption. This place is great! Some people may not uninterested or deterred by the dishes just sitting on the counter without cold or heat underneath, so be aware of that.
You'll sit close with other neighbors and diners, but everyone is polite. Clean up on your own after eating, and roll out.
Pros: Buffet style, Chinese veggies galore, Pay by weight
Cons: Vegan not marked, Cooling/ heating not consistent for food
