Delightful and Vast Vegan and Gluten-free Indian Menu and Cozy Indian Grocery Store! - Edit
Cosmos is a local treasure trove of delicious vegan and gluten free food. It definitely requires lots of return visits to explore the huge number of vegan menu items! In addition to all the listed Vegan + Gluten-free appetizers and entrees, they will proudly make anything you want Vegan and/or Gluten-free upon request.
Read moreThey have so many delicious vegan dishes from both Northern and South Indian cuisine, plus lots of varieties of vegan dosas! In addition to using their phone app for easy take-out ordering, I enjoy getting some Kurkure Masala Munch and Lays Masala potato chips snacks to-go, and I always find something fun to try in the attached grocery, fridge, or freezer sections. The family and staff are always so nice and helpful, so it's a joy to visit and support Cosmos!

Best Indian Food in Lawrence - Edit
The staff are wonderful, the menu extensive. The spices are very fresh, and much more complex than the other places in town. The Baingan Bartha is the best I have ever had. Also, if you want a vegan option that you don’t see on the menu, ask the chef. She will make you anything you want. We ordered tofu tikka masala, and it was delicious. I highly recommend this place! Interesting grocery store next door, and they do lovely takeout as well.

Best Indian I've had in Lawrence - Edit
The food was very unique and delicious! Much more flavorful and complex than other Indian restaurants I've been to in Lawrence. Vegan items are marked (and there are many!). It's also the only place I've found dosas in Lawrence. Very good price!

I've only been twice but both times the restaurant was fairly (or completely) empty. I wish more people knew about this place!

Excellent Choice - Edit
This place has improved so much! When I first came here, the food was okay, kind of obscure... stopped by again today and they are FABULOUS!!!!! A couple of friends and I stopped to buy some groceries, ended up having a very satisfying lunch.

Great addition for authentic Indian food! - Edit
I have been going to Cosmos Indian Cafe frequently now. Their cuisine excellent with good-sized portions for very reasonable price, and there are lots of veg options. Their fresh samosas with vegetables, served with fresh samosa sauce and homemade cilantro chutney, are my favorite things there. I can also recommend their vegetable Korma and vegetable Biriyani, which has a tasty veggies, -- yummy!). They have a collection of Dosa, Uthapam and Idli's(Steamed rice cakes) with delicious coconut chutney, tomato chutney and Sambhar (dal soup with vegetables) are delicious.

The staff was friendly/efficient,Usually it is pretty busy on the weekend. The atmosphere is pleasing. Good place for indian food lovers.
