So sad…

Many places that I went in 2018 are closed. Hopefully they build new ones. F**k Covid. That was a nice place for sweet teeth

👍

I ordered a sausage from here last month, it was pretty good but I wish I had some of the sweets from here. I don't think this is a good place for meals but for treats, it looks good. I'll have to come again for the treats.

Good but could be better

Some of the candies were expired and the place lacked in cleanliness/atmosphere, but it was cute and the desserts tasted fine

One of my favourite Toronto restaurants

One of my favourites to come to for a meal or even just for dessert! Their chocolate peanut butter cheesecake is pure Heaven and one of the best things I've ever tasted. They make their ice cream in house from scratch - try the cookies and cream or blueberry cheesecake. Love their chicken caesar wrap and the quesadilla is pretty good too. And one of my favourite things about them is their cool space glasses. They also sell many different vegan chocolates and candies as well as their own baked goods. Highly recommend!!

save room for dessert!

gluten-free options, generous portions. breakfast foods all day (the best!). they make their own cashew ice cream and even have cones so make sure to save room for dessert and take your cone across the street to the park. indoor and outdoor seating.

Pros: gluten-free options, patio, ice cream

Unreal ice cream choices

We visited once to have dinner - not disappointed with so much choice! I had quesadillas with fries, plus an appetiser of cheese sticks shared. My fiancé had their all day breakfast with the most amazing potatoes. In that trip we also had a boozy milkshake and ice cream sandwiches (I had to take some away I was so full!)

The second time, we had milkshakes and dessert and again such good portions! He had a banana split, I had a double scoop in a waffle cone.

The sheer creative genius of the place was what I loved the most - add on the awesome ice cream flavours (none were bad!), the creative ‘cosmic’ decor, and the really friendly and helpful staff members, we had two great experiences at this gem in Kensington Market.

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, Amazing options, especially for ice cream, Good portion sizes - left full both times!

Delicious and fun!

We have tried many of their ice cream flavors and have never been disappointed. Their chili cheese fries were pretty good — loved their house made sauce.

Expensive, small portions - disappointed!

I went there twice - once for ice-cream, another time for a coffee and cake. The latte I got was really small and so was the cake. Everything so expensive! And the interior is not cozy at all, looks more like a cheap eatery/fast food. The place benefits from its central location at the Kensington Market, so it is always busy, but honestly, you can find MUCH better places for a vegan coffee & cake in Toronto. I actually wanted to try some of their main dishes, too, but my two visits discouraged me from any other visits in the future.

Pros: Location

Cons: Expensive, Not cosy, Small portions

Delicious and fun!

Our vegan family of four just stuffed ourselves here off of the brunch menu. My hubby had the sausage and peppers sandwich with lentil soup. The soup was phenomenal. The sandwich was pretty good. I had the quiche with the soup. I loved them both. The quiche was extra tasty when I added the hot sauce. Our 10 year old son had the weekly special which was the quesadilla with home fries on the side. He is a big eater but couldn’t finish it all. It was a huge portion! And very tasty - it came with sour cream which made him very happy. Our 9 year old daughter had the kid’s meal. She got to pick 3 items and chose tofu scramble, a blueberry pancake and a banana chocolate chip pancake. She liked them all but loved the tofu scramble the best. Then dessert — all were absolutely phenomenal. We had two different types of ice cream - s’mores and death by chocolate, a pain au chocolat, and a slice of blueberry cheesecake. Rolled home happy.

Pros: Big potions , Creamy ice creams, Large selection of unique vegan choices

Cons: Expensive , Cold temperature inside , Some flavors of entrees could be enhanced

Great desserts & treats. Disappointing brunch.

Love their treats - would give that 5 stars for sure. Although, a word of warning, the cashew based ice creams are very rich. So keep that in mind when choosing the size you order.

Now, the brunch is very disappointing. When the spot first opened I enjoyed their brunch but somehow its gotten super disappointing and the last 3 times (yes, 3) the food has also been cold by the time it was served in addition to being bland and boring.

If you visit, stick to the treats and skip brunch.

Pros: Delicious treats , Creamy ice cream , Hard to find packaged vegan chocolate bars

Cons: Brunch food is bland

Best Kensington Dessert

Cosmic has some of my favourite treats in all of Toronto. I am a fan of their Caesar wrap but admittedly their dinner menu is lacking a little considering all the other offerings nearby. However their sweet cabinet and menu fully make up for that. I recommend the cupcake sundae! It’s so delicious.

Cons: Expensive ice cream :-(

Cheesy bites to die for

They offer “mozzarella” sticks and jalapeños poppers (I believe that is what they are called) and both are so cheesy and so yummy. Their tofu scramble is also very tasty.

Pros: Everything is vegan, Alcohol licensed

Cons: Small place

Variety!

Had a great selection of prepackaged vegan snacks. Got their vegan mozzarella sticks and special sweet chili heat dorito crusted tofu, but sadly was disappointed. It wasn’t spicy the slightest and I couldn’t taste any hints of Doritos. I am giving it 4 stars because I believe it has potential, I was just sad about that dish. I got some gomax bars there which was awesome!

Delicious!

My husband & I decided on Happy Cow for dessert while in the city. 2 chocolate peanut butter cheesecakes with chocolate drizzle, an Americano and a cappucino later and two happy, satisfied and full customers were we!
We had excellent service from a young man originally from the U.K. that like us, just so happens to love motorcycles.
A memorable day on their patio. We'll be back

Pros: All vegan so you don't have to ask

Cons: None

Awesome Brunch Spot!

My wife & I stumbled upon this place while visiting Toronto and liked it so much that we returned for a second time. We tried the huevos rancheros, vegetable quiche, and mixed root vegetable fries. All were great. Service is fast and friendly. We'll be back next time!

Nice cozy café, great for brunch and desserts. If I lived in the area, I'd be a regular. Try the banana pancakes!

Great brunch spot

Their chocolate chip & caramelized banana pancakes are only available for brunch, and they're so. freaking. good.
Tofu scramble was amazing as well, but home fries were a bit too greasy for me.
The vegetable quiche was super tasty and the crust was flaky and delicious.
Service is really a hit or miss - some servers were better than others, I'll leave it at that.
Unfortunately no dessert was had here, but definitely going to return to try their ice cream & froyo.

Pros: Super tasty, Cute setting with outdoor seating

Cons: Hit or miss service, Small portions

GREAT DESSERTS

This is an super indulgent place that I love !! Their ice cream is the best cashew ice cream I’ve ever had. The cookie dough has entire dollops of cookie dough thatcould make a whole cookie. Try the cookie ice cream sandwich but watch out it’s super sweet. The cheesecake is the most non-vegan-tasting-cheesecake I’ve ever tasted ITS DELICIOUS

Pros: Tons of options, Such delicious desserts

Creamy ice cream

The birthday cake ice cream was creamy and delicious. It even had chunks of vegan cake inside! The vanilla cupcake was light but moist (exactly how you would want it to be). It wasn’t too sweet either.

Pros: All vegan, Small business
