The best vegan restaurant I've been to. - Edit
Cocinando Experiencias is now my new benchmark for what I consider a good restaurant. Located inside my favourite hostel, which is across the street from my favourite dive shop, and a 2 minutes walk from the ferry terminal, this is the restaurant to check out. I'm going to tell stories about this place when I get home to Canada.

Nice little spot tucked in the front of a hostel. I had the Suadero burrito. Excellent flavor at a great price! My only complaint was that neither of the people preparing the food were wearing face masks. If we weren't in the middle of a global pandemic, it would be a non-issue, but... you know... El Covid bro
Read moreUpdate: i returned a few times and tried the Milanesa sandwich and the Gorditas. The Gorditas are definitely my favorite item on the menu. Excellent flavor, great portions and priced right.

The place is so cute with great people and the food is sooo good way too good, please order the gorditas, you will not regret it, have the Kala combucha any flavor because they are way too good, I love the seats and I recommend going for dinner to enjoy the lights. Very cozy and service was great!

Make their own seitan. I tried many things. Everything is so delicious. It's connected to a hostel and a dive center. Diving with them is also recommended. They had bread with guacamole, nachos and tomato salad on the boat.

Very cozy restaurant in the chill-area of a hostel. You get a LOT of food on you plate, kind of too much. The gorditas were very good but i found them a teensy bit to oily/fatty. Would visit again to try the rest of the menu though😄come with an empty stomach!

Nice to find another, all-vegan restaurant, with an excellent menu. I can only repeat the praises by others for their great dishes. I ate here three times in 7 days, sampling a different item each time. All were excellent, with excellent prices. Another really nice extra is the, open, rooftop dining (when there isn't any rain). Lovely food with lovely breezes----so nourishing and calming.

We ate here twice and they really never skipped a beat. The food was prepared fresh (so it does take some time -- up to half an hour) but it tastes soooo good! The crunchy sushi with the rice 'cheese', the hotdogs on the boiled bun, the sushi sandwich... Made me want to try everything on the menu. Next time!

Wow just had the hot dogs (100 percent made from scratch) and best vegan hot dog I ever have had. No joke. I will be only eating here for next 2 days. Don't let the outside scare you away. Entrance is on side street, slide metal door and go up the stairs.beyond Decent variety menu.

This restaurant is located inside hostelito hotel. It has great food options- the hamburgesa is delicious!- and so is their cheesecake and homemade naranjada! Their bread, cheese, and cheescake (and probably more!) is all homemade! I will definitely be back, and I highly recommend it 😍!

We order hotdogs for the kids, baguette, gorditas, and some potatoes..... everything was exceptional!!!! We are definitely coming back. Already asked for some workshops and will place order for some packed products!!!! Paulino is extraordinary as well. His service was flawless super friendly and kind. Thank you!!! Una vez que pruebas no puedes parar, los menús cambian constantemente y todos riquísimos, no sólo encuentras tacos, burritos, tamales, gorditas (mis favoritas) también postres!!
