Good place to go with omni buddies - Edit
I heard good things about this place and did not realize they had inside space, a little parking lot right outside, AND fancy beers. Food is kind of like a local Chipotle, easy to customize. There are choose-your-own-ingredient bowls, a veg burrito, 2 kinds of veg soft tacos (cactus and mushroom), and a veg tostada.
Read moreAll of the sauces brought to the table (4) were vegan, from mild to extra hot. I got a bowl with a base of herb rice and greens and added a few extra things -- and was very stuffed. I should have taken some home. I find the prices affordable, and service was very nice. It was buzzing with takeout, and I liked the post-punk music. There is seating for about 20 inside and a decent sized bar.
I yearned for some of their summery beers, a nicely curated list with Mexican choices, and will be back to try it out. Pineapple IPA and more!
I would LOVE to see them add tofu as a protein choice and vegan cheese (for quesadillas) and sour cream, but my meal was plenty savory with avocado, beans, mushrooms, and cactus. Vegan items are no longer marked on the menu, but they told me none of their rice or beans have animal ingredients. I'd love to see corn as an ingredient too.

Several already vegan options on the menu. The guacamole, nopal taco, and fungi poblano tostada were all great. Good prices and a huge portion!

Great Vegan Options - Edit
I’m always a fan of this cuisine due to its natural options for vegans. Comalli is a fun place to eat, great decor, friendly staff, quality food. I love the vegan cookies but they did not seem to have them my most recent visit, which was since the renovation/change. The owner is also kind - not only in this restaurant environment, but out in public too. Definitely a win for me, especially since I liked their guac. which I’m a harsh critic of wherever I go. I think they have a strong enough following to add some faux meat & cheese as options on their menu 😋☺️

Love the vegan options here. Fave is the fungi tacos - tons of flavor and the salsas are awesome. This is an easy order for vegans as the menu has specific vegan selections.

Amazing cactus tacos!!! - Edit
We love it here! My favorite thing to get is the El Nopal (cactus) tacos. The guac and chips are as good as my husbands recipe (which is superb) and there are vegan cookies!!! The owner is super awesome and sometimes has us try new vegan creations when we stop in.

I ordered take out and it was very nice inside and clean. I made my own customizable tazóne which is a bowl with their signature Mexican rice and refried beans as the base (also have the choose of a fresh spring mix) and added nopal (cactus leaf), cilantro, avocado, onion, and pico de gallo. It was delicious!! Came with a side of salsa and I chose the mild avocado salsa. The rice was sooo good! It was so fluffy and delicious it may have been the best Mexican rice I’ve ever had. They also had a vegan monster cookie I ordered for dessert which was the icing on the cake. Must try it out!
