Great little place!

We were this town due to a soccer tournament. All vegan which makes it easy to choose. I got a beyond burger and my husband got the nachos. We also got cupcakes and pumpkin bread to go. Good food, super nice staff. Cup cakes really good! If we lived closer I would go back for sure!

Pros: Super friendly staff!, Good food..delicious desserts

Cons: No cons other than I don't live here

Great find. Omnivores will love this too!

What a great find on my return from the White Mountains! The smoothies are so delicious with just the right amount of sweetness. The food was so flavorful. Service was exceptional and our takeout was ready well ahead of time.

Comfort food classics

We stopped at Col’s Kitchen to break up a long drive, and we were not disappointed! The pie milkshakes were incredible – honestly, they were some of the best milkshakes we’ve ever had. The vegan stroganoff is also delicious. Friendly staff and a lot of menu options – we’d highly recommend and will gladly stop there again if we’re passing through Concord.

So good!

I got the southwest burger and a cookie dough cupcake. The burger was good and came with cape cod chips. The cookie dough cupcake was amazing! The cookie dough on top tasted like regular cookie dough and the cake was dense and sweet. Need to get more of the deserts

Pros: Lots of desserts , Big portions , Good price

Cons: Burger came out all messy

Very Good Food and Unfussy Atmosphere

I loved the variety on the menu. I got the stroganoff, which really hit the spot. My husband had a spicy tofu dish, and we split garlic cauliflower wings. I really enjoyed the garlic sauce. The baby liked all of it, but he's not picky.

Vegan in Concord - who knew?

I grew up in Concord, but have lived in Jerusalem for the last 30 years, so I was quite shocked to discover this vegan cafe. And it's great! The service was amazing (especially when they made an innocent mistake with my order) and the food was yummy. The portions were a bit small for the price, but I'll definitely be back on my next visit!

Pros: Impressive menu, Friendly service

Cons: Small portions

Don’t miss it!

It was my first time in Concord NH and I walked right past Col’s Kitchen without realizing this restaurant is 100% plant based. Luckily, my friends in Concord informed me of Col’s vegan bona fides, so I turned around and went back. I had the southwest burger with a side of potato salad and a cupcake for dessert. The food and the staff were amazing!

Yum!

I got the summer rolls (amazing), chocolate milkshake (so good! (Made with oat milk), and ‘Ps-and-Qs Pad Thai’. The Pad Thai was sooo delicious! My little brother also said his ‘Feelin Good Falafel Burger’ was the best burger he had ever had!

Excellent food, very nice staff

They were super nice and friendly; we even talked to one of the cooks for a bit about the food. We had the brussel sprouts (ok), cauliflower wings (very good ranch), pad thai (great), and a cake shake (also great). Took a Boston creme cupcake home, and that was wonderful, and not too sweet.

I'd definitely go back to try more of their food, including the pie shake (they were out when we went).

Shout-out to Jordan, the owner, who waited on us and showed us more pictures of Col, his sweet dog!

Pros: Delicious food, Great atmosphere with friendly staff, Owners dog may visit!

Tasty and eclectic menu

They are in a nice big space on main Street, plenty of parking on street in front. We had the philly cheesesteak, the beyond burger, and the seitan wings. Our friend had the pad Thai. Everything was great and service was too. Nearby is the food coop so check that out too after you're done.

Pros: All vegan! , Menu is diverse, Reasonably priced

I left hungry

First, the positives. This is an all-vegan establishment. My wife liked her southwestern burger. I liked the watermelon mint soda. The server was personable and friendly.

I ordered a cup of chili and the Philly Cheezsteak sub. The chili was fine, but too spicy for me so I only had a few bites. The sandwich was a real disappointment. Very oddly, it was made with cubes of seitan rather than shaved or even sliced seitan. It didn’t work for me at all — the texture of the resulting sandwich wasn’t good. I ate maybe a quarter of it before giving up.

Based on other reviews, I think I just made a bad menu choice. I likely would have been much happier with the pad thai or a burger.

One more complaint: If you see that a guest clearly hasn’t eaten their meal and they’ve declined a takeaway box, you should ASK if they didn’t enjoy the meal. It might be an awkward conversation, but it might also yield useful feedback.

I would give this place another try when I’m next passing through Concord.

Amazing food, long waits.

I love the food but if they tell you 20 minutes, expect 40. Not sure why, but the few times I have been there it's a similar experience. Support them, but don't be in a rush. 😊

Pros: 100% vegan

Cons: Takes forever

Delicious!

We were so happy to find this place on a road trip. The seitan wings were INCREDIBLE, as was the Cesar salad and apple pie. The server was great and made sure nut allergies were accommodated.

Best vegan spot in Concord nh

So happy we waited a hour and a half for cols to open. So worth the wait. The food was fantastic from nachos, beef stroganoff, ramen bowl to our vegan milkshake. Portions were large had enough to take home. Sadly didn't have room to try a desert but will next time.

Pros: Fresh food, Fresh soda

Best vegan spot in NH

They have the best Pad Thai that I’ve ever had! They have yummy desserts on display too. Jordan (the owner) is a rockstar and comedian. They are also so kind to adapt their meals for your dietary needs (If you reach out, or come by when it isn’t a rush). A must-visit for NH vegans!

Pros: Delicious food, so many options, Accommodating of dietary restrictions , Awesome staff

Pros: Easy parking , Good prices , Food had a lot of flavor

Cons: It’s vegan junk food, but it’s still worth it

Vegan protein done right - Update on dinner

Vegan protein isn't all beans and rice as Col's Kitchen in Concord NH demonstrates. My husband and I had Sunday Brunch for Father's Day. We spilt home fries smothered with incredible vegan cheeze sauce, soy sausage, and carmelized onions. The cheeze sauce is spicy and smooth and it is what is used on their nachos. We also had buffalo seitan scramble. This dish is a sandwich of yellow sauteed tofu and buffalo flavored seitan, served as a sandwich. We had our sandwich on sour dough toast, but it is available on bagels which come from fabulous The Works Bakery, also in Concord. We were given tastes of their ranch dressing and buffalo sauce which were both excellent. They served water to drink that had been filtered so it has no nasty chlorine taste. Concord NH has restaurants with vegan options, but Col's is unique because it caters to vegans and the gluten free gang.

UPDATE- We have been to Col's several additional times. More fabulous surprises! For dinner we had a Caesar salad with seitan. This seitan was deep fried, maybe. The Caesar was crisp, fresh romaine topped with a creamy dressing that rivals all the fancies Caesars I've had at fancy Chicago restaurants. The Seitan was interesting because it was puffed. I took some home and it was so good cold. Another meal we had deserts that were elegant the way they looked and so much better than other vegan places. CHEESECAKE- wow. It was mocha flavored, tasting more like chocolate than coffee. Its texture was firm, but very creamy. It had a chocolate cookie crust. And we had rhubarb pie that was made just the way I like it. The filling was firm; the crust was lattice and thin; it was tangy and not too sweet. We also had baked homefries. They were a perfect texture, freshly baked, Idaho maybe. I got the chef's fabulous ranch dressing (I saved some to use for my own potato salad the next day.)

Outstanding roadtrip find

Found this spot on HC on my way to pick up my son at camp in New Hampshire. Easy on/off the highway. Delicious food! The chickpea tuna was the closest thing I've had to a tuna sandwich since going vegan 4 years ago. Served with lettuce on toasted sourdough. The "summer rolls" were packed with fresh veggies and tofu with a tasty (but not spicy....) peanut sauce for dipping. For those who like sweets they had a beautiful display (I didn't partake but pic attached). Reasonable prices. Nice staff. Great find.
