Handy chain of curry shop

Separate veggie and English (and other languages) menus. All dishes are variations of the Japanese style curry so not as hot as other Asian curries. Plus you can select the spiciness (or mildness) to fit. I had a '2' and I would say it would have been too much for non curry fans. Various extra toppings and salad but don't expect anything particularly groundbreaking. Probably seats about 20? Fairly small. For the price, quite good and filling. Add more rice and sides if you need it. Beer available. Friendly and quick service.

Fast, cheap, delicious

English below👇川崎にある『CoCo壱番屋』に行ってきました。

店内は広々としていてマンガなども置いてあって
この店はヴィーガンメニューが充実しています。
今回注文したのは『キノコとオクラのベジカレーの大盛り』です。

キノコの量が多くルウに溶け込んだ野菜も多くて大満足です。

とても美味しかったです。是非また食べたいです。

Back in the day, I was a big fan of this shop’s curry, but I hadn’t had any since going vegan. Luckily, they have developed a vegan version of their famous curry sauce (available only at certain locations), and I finally got a chance to try it at the location close to Kawasaki station.

I got the vegetarian (actually vegan) curry with eggplant and vegetables. It was delicious. The sauce was rich and flavorful, I loved the assortment of veggies, the rice was fresh, and I was pleasantly surprised at how well eggplant goes in curry. It’s quite reasonable at 880 yen, too.

The restaurant was clean and spacious, and I’m already planning my next visit. If only they would roll out the vegan curry to all of their stores!
