Best chicken and waffles - Edit
Went back twice in one day for the chicken and waffles they were that good. Breakfast burrito was really good too. Bbq mac wrap with seitan was nice, crispy seitan which I liked. Onion rings were very overdone, oily and hard to eat so I would not recommend. The table next to us ordered a pizza and it looked amazing, wish I had ordered one. Ordered a shandy and beer mimosa which we didn't enjoy.

Everything I've had is so good, fried ravioli (vegan) is my favorite. The vegan breakfast sandwich with cashew ricotta is great. I highly recommend this place.

Bad Experience - Edit
We waited over an hour for a table which I don’t mind if it’s going to be a good meal. When we were finally seated they put us in between the bar (I had a small child with me) and the bathroom. It smelled terrible. Our server brought us glasses filled half way with lukewarm water. She was not friendly at all. She disappeared for a very long time before she came to take our order while we considered whether we should just leave, but we were really hungry. After she took our order we waited another hour for our food. When it came it was very cold and we wondered if it had just been sitting out. My child’s waffles had black specs in them and tasted strange. We didn’t eat them. There were a lot of flies, and I spent a good portion of the meal trying to keep them from landing on our food. Waitress disappeared again and we had to wait long after our meal for the check while people waited outside for tables in the heat. I don’t like posting a bad review for a meat-free restaurant, but this was a very bad experience. Will not be back.

Great Bar Food - Edit
City O' City is a staple in the Denver veggie community, and it's a gem of a restaurant. Service can be hit or miss, but I feel it has improved greatly in the last several years.
Read moreIt's a great place to go as a vegan/vegetarian because they know exactly what that means and always ask the right questions.
The food is typical bar style - sandwiches, pizza, salads, and a few fancier dishes thrown in for variety. I highly recommend the cauliflower tacos during their happy hour.
Another plus is their bakery is just next door, so their desserts are always fresh and all vegan. They also generally have many gluten-free options as well.
Pros: All Veggie, Open Late, Yummy Desserts
Cons: Can be Loud, Service Hit or Miss

The best - Edit
Well-traveled, lifelong vegetarian here; this is one of, if not the best restaurants I've ever eaten at. Restaurant/bar/cafe/bakery/art gallery with an amazing menu. What more can you ask for? So glad a friend tipped me off to this place when I was passing through Denver. Had the reuben for dinner; loved the food and vibe so much, I had to go back for brunch the next morning.

Amazing menu - basically all vegan!! - Edit
Although the place is veggie, most options are vegan or can be made vegan and the menu is EXTENSIVE. Honestly there was so much to choose from it took me forever. The mac and cheese was sweet but not in a bad way? The bbq seitan was the best seitan ive ever had and ive had a lot if seitan. For a 'large' option, my bbq bowl wasn't massive but it was filling. The breakfast burrito was HENCH. Staff were super nice

Second time I’ve been here and the food was amazing yet again. I had scrambled tofu with biscuits and gravy. The portion sizes are huge and the gravy is heavenly. When we left I was stuffed but bought a chocolate scone to have for later (it was delicious).

Lucky and Yummy - Edit
My husband and I are visiting Denver and we decided to get up early and try this place out. We were seated right away (lucky) but we did have a little wait for service and for our food. The food was to die for good! Definitely worth the wait. There was quite a line waiting when we got up to leave so get there early if you want to sit and enjoy your food.

Seitan BBQ Wings are to die for! - Edit
Visited City oh City while in Denver on vacation. Since I’ve been vegan, I’ve been searching for the best vegan wings and I think this place takes the cake. They have BBQ or buffalo style “wings” that are crave-able! We also got the vegan fried ravioli and smoked tempeh salad. We will definitely be coming back when we hit Denver again!

Typical hipster atmosphere-noisy dining area for sure, and be prepared to wait up to an hour to be seated. That said the food is just amazing. Even my Omni bf found something he really liked.

Not Going Back - Edit
I would give this place one star if the app would let me. Don't go here go to Watercourse Food!! I came here on my birthday and we got there in time for happy hour however, they didn't seat us until after happy hour at a table that was open the whole time we were waiting! Our food and drinks took forever. When I talked to a manager about my bad experience she didn't have an answer and did nothing about it.

Nice spot - Edit
We went inadvertently for happy hour and got a few drinks and appetizers. Seitan wings and tacos were great, good plain salad and some ok poutine. Poutine had a bit too much sauce. It was pretty cheap due to happy hour. Also got some baked goods from the attached bakery next door, also quite good.

Any trip to Denver involves multiple meals at City O' City. The drinks and the food are excellent! I so so so so wish they had a location in Ithaca, NY, where we live! One of my favorite restaurants ever and we travel a lot and have been to a lot of restaurants!!

Rare Find - Edit
Not only was my fiancé able to find vegan chickn and waffles, but they were also gluten free!! All the savory and sweet goodness was there and he left a very happy and satisfied man. I had the vegan ravioli and vegan cheese pretzel. I was not a fan of the cheese sauce because of the coconut flavor as mentioned in other posts. However, my fiancé liked the sauce. My Omni friends liked their pizza and salad but they were not vegan.

Sad Panda - Edit
So this is my second time here and it sucked. The vegan mac and cheese tastes and smells like coconut with some other weirdness. I love coconut, but whatever they did was gross and wrong. The buffalo wings taste like vinegar no spice or other flavors just grease and vinegar. The fries were good though. I wanted to like it, but eww and no. Also would give 0 stars if it let me.

outstanding local coffee and bar restaurant - Edit
This restaurant rocks! It has two sides, a coffee breakfast style side, and bar side. Both sides serve the same full menu. It is almost all vegan, but I think they do have egg options and dairy for the coffee. I had the vegan pastrami sandwich with sautéed greens in mustard sauce. The ‘pastrami’ was amazing, tasted like the real thing other than no fat on it. The sandwich had sauerkraut and horseradish, and served on marbled rye. It is a knife and fork sandwich. I highly recommend it. I’m in town for three days, and this place will be my lunch each day (Watercourse for dinner).

Great Place for Vegan Bar Food - Edit
I like to stop in every time I come to Denver. As a vegan drinker the one thing I crave the most at a brunch, the Bloody Mary, is often the one thing that can't be made Vegan. Not to at CIty O' City. Get the spicy Bloody Mary, made with house made Jalapeno infused vodka. The Tempeh Bacon Hash and Breakfast Burrito are my go-to items for brunch and they never disappoint. The seiten wings are great, as are the onion rings. The City O' Burger for dinner is a great option if you're in the mood. I did find the vegan mac and cheese to be watery and not worth the cost.

good food, generally mediocre service - Edit
The food here is good, people we take here for the first time are almost always happy. The breakfast burrito and biscuits and gravy are fantastic. The service, however, is very hit or miss. There are a couple servers who have been around for awhile and they are excellent, but some of the servers are lackluster.
