竹林素食 a quiet place serving typical Chinese vegetarian food. Specialty is the curry (without coconut milk). Also try the kam hiong veg chicken, and KangKung Belacan (a spicy Malay styled spinach), majerine veg prawn, lime with sour plum. Kitchen closes 3-5:30pm. Open Mon-Sun 11:30am-3:00pm, 5:30pm-10:00pm. Closes irregularly - call ahead.

Quite a tranquil location and very spacious and bright restaurant. I came with no expectation, but pleased with the variety of food being offered and how nice the staff was. Some of the food is probably too tasty (and not guilt-free) for a highly health-conscious person. But once in a while, some indulgence should have no harm right?😄
Read moreSome warning though for all English speakers that the staff can only speak dialect Chinese and Malay, so it may be heard to ask questions in English. Good thing that the menu has a lot of pictures for most of the food, so it is quite easy to order.

They have a lot of mock meat if you like it like me, but not as good as it could be.

Found a restaurant called "Chuc Lim Vege" at 10m or so from the site. Not vegetarian at all, but it does have some dishes.

The food will be cooked upon your order. I'm not certain of the time it closes but I can only presume early. So best to go early to avoid disappointment!Like most vegetarian places locally it's closed from 3 to 6pm for mid day break
