Delicious vegan soul food - Edit
Stopped at Chubby Vegan on a long drive and it was delicious! Super good vegan soul food, including mac and cheese, collard greens, yams and corn bread. Plus, the chef was really kind and friendly. If we lived closer would definitely be back.

Some of the best Mac and cheese I’ve had. The corn bread is awesome too. The only thing I’d say is the wait is pretty long. It would be a good idea to order ahead and take the food home or to the park.

The fries are phenomenal. I am gluten-free and she said she’s going to add more gf food on the menu. A lot of the sides are gluten-free. The owner is extremely nice and I can’t wait to come back!

The place wasn't open - wasted trip - Edit
I went here a little after 11:20am on Friday 5/10, according to the times on happy cow (11am-7pm) they should be open. When I got there the windows had some paper or blinds pulled and the doors were locked on both buildings. I also couldn't find a Google listing and their facebook hasn't updated since 4/13.

Hmm, someone just posted another review today saying they were open. I hope someone is able to confirm their actual hours. It’s a place I would also like to check out.

yea I don't know -- I removed my speculation that they might have closed since that appears to not be the case from that review (to your point). My friend called them a bit after I had left and said he got no response from them on their line -- and their doors were definitely locked tight when I was there this morning.

The lady was in a recent car accident and certain mornings, she has medical issues due to it. The one morning she opened up a little bit later because she was experiencing medical issues. I’m assuming that’s About the same thing but I can vouch that her food is great once she was open to try. I wouldn’t hold that against her though, once she gets better hopefully she’ll be open full-time and she also said is getting more help.

Opening day! - Edit
Awesome opening day! So glad to have Chubby Vegan in Skippack! I think it's really cool how they do a supper club style dinner special I can't wait to try them all! There is also a non-vegan soul restaurant owned by the same family right next to it, so if you are vegan and want to go out with people who 'dont like vegan food', you can have the all-vegan kitchen and still have options for non-vegans!
