Amazing ambience - Edit
Been here many times now. Both for the buffet, pizza, coffee and a la carte dinner. Would especially recommend the buffet, and during weekday lunch hours it’s fairly priced at around 150 sek. The rest of the food is good, however nothing with a wow-effect. Simple and good though! I love that there’s a nice vibe here in the evenings, with live dj and many people coming here just for drinks. Have been missing a place like this in Stockholm!

Lovely service and decoration, good food! - Edit
We had the lunch buffet which was very nice for its price (around 150kr). A selection of salads and spreads (the tuna spread was the highlight!), spaghetti bolognese, lentil dhal, potatoes, rice…Forgot to take pictures which is always a good sign that you’re enjoying the food! 😊

Chouchooooo, genuine cooked food with a lovely ambiance. - Edit
Chouchou is situated inside the Mood mall, and boy, does this place light up your mood. The setting of this place is intimate and thoroughly decorated. I love the small booths and give you a nice little private area; however, I was placed by the window on a pair table which made sense since I was by myself.
Read moreI was greeted by one of the waiters, who asked me if I wanted to go for the buffet or a la carte. The buffet consisted of a cold and hot section. The cold/appetizer offered options from hummus, baba ganoush, and lentil salad to Ceaser salad and my favorite, skagenröra. The hot section had some stews available such as Beef Bourgogne, viltskavgryta (Swedish style), and saag dahl. There was also a tray of lasagna and starch to accompany the stews.
I decided to go for the buffet as it looked pretty appealing, although the a la cart menu looked like a great option as well. I asked for a glass of red to have along with the meal and was approached by a laid-back lad who brought me three bottles to try. He offered me a barbera and two other bottles that he wasn’t sure of what they were…
So, I decided to go for the barbera.
The round of appetizers was good, the salads are pretty standard-like, but the Ceaser salad and skagenröra were the highlights. The appetizer was also accompanied by some lovely baked bread that was available.
For the hot round, I had the beef Bourgogne and viltskavgryta together with some roasted potatoes. I had a slice of the lasagna, but it wasn’t really to my taste. However, the stews were phenomenal; the great spice, depth, and texture of the mock meat are spot on. I even had to take a second round, which filled me up quite well.
Overall, the setting is lovely; the staff is friendly and relaxed. Jokes and dance-offs are going on once in a while between the kitchen staff and waiters, which is quite charming. The place got quite busy later on in the evening, and it seemed like the waiters had to get their steps in. One thing I do recommend for their staff is product knowledge, take a moment and review the product before you offer it to customers - it takes literally 10 seconds. Chouchou is, after all, considered a “fine-dining” place, especially with the prices set.
I will definitely recommend trying this place out, as it’s undoubtedly one of my top picks in Stockholm for now. Weekends are busy, so evening I do recommend booking.
Bon Appetite

Trendy decor decent quality food - Edit
I went on a Saturday evening. There is a traditional dining area and a more laid back area (which had a DJ). It’s a restaurant and a bar (two areas are separate). The decor is definitely designed with Instagram in mind!
Read moreThere’s a buffet and an a la carte menu. I had the buffet. About 6 cold dishes and about 6 warm. Tasty and thought through dishes. Slightly salty for my palette but that’s definitely subjective.
It’s a decent place. Worth a visit.

Will have to try it again! - Edit
Came in with high expectations, since I'm a fan of one of the owners, a cookbook writer who is dedicated to veganizing well loved dishes, including a lot of traditional Swedish food.
Read moreMy company considered the rather mixed menu to be a red flag, whereas I was just happy to have a lot of different things to choose from. We ended up getting the meatballs (very good) and a hamburger (a little salty but overall okay).
The staff was very friendly and the ambience was nice and bustling. This was only a few days after they first opened, and there was some confusion about seating, things running out on the buffet, etc., but I expect those things will have been straightened out by now. Will have to go again to make sure! And to try out some of the other items on the menu.

The best vegan food I’ve ever had & the staff was super friendly. - Edit
We had the buffet and ate way too much 😂 The lasagne, viltskavsgrytan, Boeuf Bourguignon and the Caesar salad was absolutely smashing dishes.

Great food and great staff! - Edit
The food was really good - my friend had the buffet and I chose the burger. The fries were a bit too salty for my taste, but I told the waitress and she would give the feedback to the kitchen. Otherwise, the dip sauce was tasty and burger itself was juicy! My friend eats gluten free and couldn't find any gluten free options on the a la carte menu, but I hope Chouchou will improve on this aspect.

Located in the fashionable mall MOOD on the third
Read morefloor. We reserved a table during the opening week, which was necessary as people were lining up outside. We decided on the buffé as so many of the dishes looked very tasty. The buffe consisted of traditional Swedish with international dishes made vegan. I loved the ”beef” bourgogne (with seitan I believe) and the cashew viltskavsgryta (wild game stew) as well as the toona and skagen side dishes.
The restaurant interior is modern with a 60s-70s retro-glam vibe. The staff is very sweet and the chef came out and socialized with the guests.
I would highly recommend this place, the high quality of the food that is served combined with the atmosphere and the friendly staff makes Chouchou a must for vegans visiting (or living) in Stockholm.
Pros: Great culinary experience, Cozy atmosphere , Friendly staff
Cons: The dessert’s were limited, Dessert not included in buffe, No mirror in restroom

Nice food and good spread of different food. They serve from indian food to swedish "husmanskost" all veganized too the max. Sooo so gooood! We ate at lunch hour when they have buffé...nuff said. Eat here or miss out. And bring your hesitant meathead friends who don't Believe in vegan diet...they will have food for thought😁
