The best vegan buffet - Edit
This buffet was amazing, especially the lasagne. The best thing is that it’s all vegan and beside the buffet there were many other vegan options.

Delicious - Edit
It was buffet, and that was great because I wanted to try everything! At first I thought it was hard to find because the door from the street had a small sign for it and we half to walk up three sketchy flights, but turns out we came in the back way! It’s accessed through the mall.

Cool, cozy and crazy good! - Edit
Chouchou is a new shining star, and something that Stockholm and the world needs more of in my opinion; cool, atmospheric, cozy and slightly upscale restaurants.
Read moreLocated in the hip MOOD Galleria, the decoration and lighting is amazing. There are colorful, pretty, plastic flowers all around. The background music was chill pop, which I really liked. One song that was played was the lovely Sukiyaki by Kyu Sakamoto.
I decided to get the buffet (269 SEK) as I wanted to try as much as possible. I tried nearly everything and it was all delicious, especially the skagenröra. Compared to Hermans the focus of this buffet is much more on veganizing traditional dishes.
The service was impeccable and I had a great experience. Great job "Jävligt Gott"-Gustav! I'll be back for more!

Wonderful food! - Edit
A bit pricey but totally worth it! Like that they offer half portions, so you can have a starter and be able to fish your main. Friendly and helpful staff. We had a table on a Friday evening, but would recommend to make a reservation, just to be sure.

Vegan heaven - Edit
Chouchou is a fantastic vegan place, the buffet has so many options that everyone is sure to find something they like. While the weekday lunch buffet us a great deal, the buffet is a bit pricey imo if you go when it's full price for only being maybe 1-2 dishes more. I have not yet tried anything from their à la carte menu, nor the brunch buffet. But will go back to try both and update.

Hands down the best vegan restaurant in Stockholm - Edit
The all-vegan weekday lunch buffet mixes vegan versions of warm traditional Swedish food (husmanskost) with a huge selection of cold salads and sauces and dessert. All at a fair price.

Stylish, but also friendly and nice - Edit
This is an absolutely great restaurant. Very young and hip and urban, good hours, plenty of liquor choices and, all in all, a real restaurant/bar/hipster scene. Food is real good -- definitely try the Swedish meatballs (vegan of course). Beyond all this, though, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We arrived late after the kitchen was closed. We don't eat in non-vegetarian restaurants, so we were looking at getting no dinner after a long day. A staffer stepped forward and said, "we can do this," and put together a great dinner for us. Also, because we were late, we watched the kitchen getting cleaned up. These guys were super serious about everything being spotless! Of course, we went back for more -- the second time during regular hours, and everything was even better. Highly recommend.

The lasagne was just incredible - honestly the best vegan lasagne I’ve ever had anywhere in the world including in Italy! (Of course I had to go back for seconds and also thirds!)
Not cheap at 279 kroner per person, but you definitely get what you pay for!

Tried the vegan buffet and while it was a bit pricey it was definitely worth it! They have around 5-6 warm dishes and a large cold buffet table with salads and bread. Nice interior decoration as well.

Nice buffet - Edit
The actual restaurant is located within "MOOD" mall, you can also enter from the street which is what we did but it was a bit confusing to find so I would recommend entering through the mall. The food itself was good, especially the "Toonish" and the chili sin carne. The price is fair considering the location, coffee is included in the price. Staff was super friendly aswell.
Read morePros: Tasty food, "Open" kitchen, you can see the chefs cooking, Fair buffet price

Lunch buffet is great value yet overall there's room for improvement - Edit
I finally got the opportunity to try Chou Chou's lunch buffet. I chose this option as I had read that it was the best value. And it did not disappoint! The cold buffet included a variety of salads: mixed greens which tasted fresh, ceasar salad (delicious), and beetroot and feta (yum). Among the mixes there was Toonish (mock tuna), skagen (traditional Swedish cream mix with caviar & herbs) and hummus. To accompany the cold assortment there were two large loaves of fresh sourdough bread.
Read moreI'm not a huge fan of buffets in general as I find there's always too much food for my liking and the different dishes don't always mix well on the plate. This could probably be easily avoided by not piling everything on at once, call me a buffet noob! On the day that I visited there was a thai curry, two different types of veggie rice (curry & fried), roasted potatoes, creamy pasta, saag daahl and chili with optional nacho crisps. I thought the saag daahl tasted best and had the most interesting flavours, but the pasta was also a favourite. I found some of the dishes to be a bit too diverse in flavour in order for them to mix well on the plate. The thai and pasta dish felt a bit displaced among the chili and daal. The dishes included on the menu on their website would have been a better combination.
All in all, you get a lot for 149 SEK compared to the individual dishes from the à la carte menu which are smaller in size but much more expensive. Chou Chou has high ambitions with vegan chef and influencer Gustav Johansson at the helm. They are open almost all day and aim to cater to the lunch crowd as well as after workers and predrink clubbers. The bar specialises in natural vegan wines which feels very on-trend. Service was welcoming and enthusiastic and we got seated immediately despite the sudden lunch rush. Interior is colourful and feels fairly luxe, music was barely audible so it seems like they've listened to the customers' requests to lower the volume.
Curious to experience Chou Chou transformed into evening mode and perhaps try a sweet treat from the dessert menu. Hats off for having the balls to open an all vegan restaurant in central Stockholm. Judging by the amount of customers when I visited, they seem to be doing good business. Four stars as there is still room for improvement regarding the warm buffet and portion sizes for the mains.
Pros: Lunch buffet is great value, offers variety, friendly and welcoming service
Cons: Buffet dishes could complement each other better, could use cosier & more private seating in places

Nice vegan buffet - Edit
It was nice to have a fully vegan buffet. The food was really good, I especially liked the chili. It's quite a small buffet, there are not many different meals, but I think it's fine because everything was really good. Desserts are not included in the buffet price and are a little expensive, but the chocolate cake was one of the best desserts I've ever had. The staff was very friendly. I recommend.

100 % vegan restaurant = you don't need to ask what is vegan or not. First time I ate a bit of lasagne + sallad, it was very delicious but cost 250 kr (25 €)..... Too much of course but buffet is cheap and you can take as much as you want. So many warm dishes to choose!
