Fantastic buffet - Edit
Their buffet is not a traditional salad bar, but also includes some heavy, contundent comfort food such as mac and cheese or soy ragout. The food is very elaborate and it is worth every penny. Moreover, the place is very stylish and welcoming. The best buffet in Stockholm.

Fantastic food. - Edit
Had a chouchou chilli burger, the patty was amazing but the bun was a bit too stiff. Fries were also great with tasty toppings and souce.
Read moreSalmon pasta was also very good, it smelled like real salmon, texture were a bit "rubberish", dont know how to describe it better, very creamy and tasty.
Coctails were also good.
Place is fancy, should book ahead if you want to visit on the weekend.

Not nutritious, but good for anti-vegans - Edit
Wanted to treat my dad to a restaurant to celebrate his retirement. As he’s not vegan I opted for a place that’s not my normal pick, but rather somewhere a traditional meat eater would like - and it turned out a success! 🥳
Read moreHe ordered the classic Swedish dish “meatballs” with mashed potato, cream sauce, lingonberries and cucumber and said it was perfect apart from there being too little sauce. As for me I had emailed in advance and told my allergies (they were ever so kind and accommodating - so service minded!) and got baked cauliflower with tomato sauce and some clover plus a side of white rice. It didn’t taste much (apart from that they seemed to have sweetened the sauce with agave - strange and unnecessary) and as white rice is nothing but empty fast carbs I left still hungry. However I am still appreciative that they tried, even if they clearly don’t know how to compose an unprocessed meal that leaves you satisfied (it would have been better with something like potatoes, whole grains, nuts or seeds).
They had no sugar free desserts so we only had mains.
As for the place it had a nice view and there were good toilets. It was quite expensive, especially given the portions were small and their lunch buffet didn’t have any more whole foods/healthy options which is a pity. To sum up though it’s a great place to take non-vegans (given that they don’t care about eating healthy). Dad was happy hence so was I ☺️

Delicious food, an okay experience - Edit
The food was awesome but the overall experience left something to be desired. The waiting time for the main courses was rather long and the food was really expensive considering the portion sizes. And it's a pity that the kitchen opens rather late (5 p.m.).

Ok food - Edit
We had to wait for our table even though there were almost no people there that night. It took 15 min to get the menu. We didn’t get any water or candle (like the other tables had). One of the waiters we had was definitely high on something. They gave the plates in our hands instead of on the tables, they did not pour up wine from the bottle we brought. It was very dark and not cozy at all. We started with the ”laxtartar” and the ”jordärtskockssoppa” and they were really good! As main course we ate the ”Steak fries” that was a bit small with too little sauce, it was good but not for the price of 389kr. We also ate the salmonish pasta that was good except that it had no salt at all hahah. We got the ”vaniljpanacotta” for desert, it was a good desert.
Read moreAll and all it was kind of bad. The worst service, bad ambiance, ok-good food but too pricy. Go to Waipo (that is placed in the same building) instead, they have loads of vegan options🙏🏻

Nicest fin-dinning in town - Edit
9 members of The Vegan Choir went to chouchou to perform last year. Chouchou‘s owner was generous and hospitable; hen invited us the Christmas buffet (heard they cost around SEK 420/person) for free which was full of flavors, 💗 and variety dishes from around the 🌍 . Their lasagna was top notch and I ate too much:-). 🙏 again for your generosity, hospitality and of course the delicious, nutritious & scrumptious #veganfood in town.

Disappointed - Edit
I want to like this so much, but honestly the food was not good enough for the price. We ordered both from the menue and the buffet). The service was nice whenever we were able to get their attention. The drinks were the smallest drinks I have ever received and had no taste of gin at all. They were ordered as a pre-drink but arrived after the food, which took about five minutes to get. I imagine this is a good place for lunch though, since the buffet had its ups (the lasagna) and downs (boeuf bourguignon), and it is cheaper at lunch).

Do not miss the buffet - Edit
I came here for a relaxing lunch and am so happy I got to experience a buffet. It is entirely vegan! This is a must-try in Stockholm. There is a huge variety of dishes, including lots of hot mains and plenty of salads and sides. There was even a waffle grill so you can make vegan waffles and top them with whipped cream and jam! The food won’t blow you away in terms of quality and taste, but it is wonderful to have so many vegan options laid out in front of you. Make sure you come hungry. I think I paid about €25.

Nice experience but the food was just OK - Edit
Had a long dinner with a friend at ChouChou. The atmosphere and service was great. However, the food was only alright. I ordered a Pasta Di Mari that honestly didn't taste that mich at all, and the cheese cake I ordered for desert was icy.

Fine dining appearance meets overpriced "diner quality" burger and fries - Edit
The setup was interesting at first glance. The restaurant was a half circle design, with a choice of tables for two against the wall, with easy access to the buffet, a booth or a table for four with a view of downtown. Beyond that, it goes downhill. I ordered the Bistro Burger.
Read moreThe customer service: I had to get the cook's attention to request a server because none were visible anywhere.
The food quality: The burger and fries tasted like something I could buy in any mainstream grocery store in the frozen section, and heat up in the microwave (which I would venture to guess that's what they did) after picking up a cheap jar of pickles and hamburger buns on aisle 6) before heading home.
The appearance: The food was served on a metal tray similar to the ones that the inmates eat their food on in prison.
The portion size: Refer to the picture. This was a $16 plate. The ketchup I had to request, and was brought a stingy amount in contrast to the amount of fries served.

Good but expensive - Edit
I went there with friends for dinner. I had a Caesar salad which was nice although very heavy on dressing (despite me having asked to have a small amount of dressing only) and the leaves felt a bit wilted, as if they had sat in dressing for a while. I thought it was very expensive for what it was.

This restaurant we went to for lunch and our o ltd option was the buffet, which was good value for money as it included tea and coffee. There was a wide selection of hot food and salad to choose from and I would come back again.

Mandatory Swedish meat balls - Edit
I went to Chouchou for lunch and for the fact that I had to eat Swedish meatballs while being in Sweden. I loved the vibes, the staff was super friendly and the vegan meatballs were good. However I actually don’t really like mash so I’m a bit biased. They also host music / party evenings but I didn’t went…
