Friendly café in a vintage & craft centre - Edit
The Chocolate Orange Tearooms are part of the Carlton House Vintage, Arts, Crafts and Home Interiors Centre. They are very vegan friendly and serve an excellent and good value breakfast. The soup of the day is always vegan and there is always at least one homemade vegan cake option. Soy or oat milk are available at no extra cost.
Read moreWe had a vegan pesto and rosemary roasted mushroom sandwich served on malted bread - they have a selection of breads including gluten free. Sandwiches come with crisps (ready salted), salad and a homemade vegan beetroot coleslaw. Afterwards we looked at the cakes and had an Oreo brownie and lime buttercream sponge.
Pros: Lots of vegan options and very accommodating., Cash and contactless payments., Seating inside and out.
Cons: Closed Sundays and Mondays., Limited free parking but other parking available.

Chocolate Orange still going strong and catering for vegans. We were too early for lunch (but there were vegan options) so indulged in the Tropical Fruit Flapjack and loose leaf tea. Delicious. Vegan scones also on offer. Nice owner who makes all the cakes.
