Worth taking the detour - Edit
It's a bit further from the city center, but definitely worth visiting. Specializing in the Czech classic "chlebíčky" (a copiously garnished slice of baguette). They are something other then what one would find for example in Northern Spain, a very particular Central European dish with characteristic tastes, both heavy on greasy ingredients, but also lighter versions with veggies and herbs. A must try.

Seriously delicious chlebíčky, friendly staff, the soup of the day was pretty amazing as well! You can also have a coffee and some sweet pastries.

Great to find a vegan place to eat that also offers gluten free.

The food is very tasty.
They have gluten free vegan cakes and they can substitute the bread in the open sandwich to gluten free.
The staff is friendly too.
It is fairly easy to find and near the underground.
It is a small cafe with a minimal seating area and no toilets.
Pros: Gluten free options available , Delicious food, Friendly staff
Cons: I would have liked to sit and enjoy the vibe, It would be nice to have toilet

If my stomach would have allowed it, I would have eaten everything in the Chlebíček Store in one sitting. Seriously. If you do not like this place, you simply do not like tasty food. The staff were wonderful and friendly. Each and every chlebíček was another joyous reason to return. I honestly cannot recommend this place enough.

We loved absolutely everything about this place. Great selection of “chlebíčky” (tried 9 different toppings), super nice staff, nice dessert selection as well. Loved the “bábovka” and brownie. If you get a chance, don’t miss out.

Their selection of open-face sandwiches is so pretty and colourful that I wanted to take a picture of about 20 different of them that I ordered for a party but we all devoured them almost immediately and I totally forgot about the photo! Check them out. It's pretty and tasty.

Cute and cosy place! The staff is very nice and open to chat with customers ^^ They make chlebíčeck, which is a local specialty, vegan version, and original different dressings! A variety of choices, you want to try everything. I tried 4 of them but can't remember exactly the dressings. And their homemade lemonade which was very good too, and not too sweet!

I had the garlic bread and it was the yummiest thing ever! Kids friendly despite the small place (they have a chair for them, as well as toys and books). Accept credit cards.

This tiny bistro has limited seating and no toilets but has kind staff, affordable prices, free water and wifi too. My favourite chlebicek is with no-egg spread. One per 35,- is a good value. They also have sweets from Nebeske dorticky (based in Brno) and a daily soup. Everything is tasty and just as the old fashioned non-vegan original. Perfect for takeaway or delivery.

Great little store with some cakes and chlebičky (opened face sanwiches), coffee and drinks. Nicest staff ever, so nice and helpful. It's a pity they don't open on the wekends, we would be able to visit more often :(

If you aren’t a Czech, you are probably not familiar with open-face sandwiches called “chlebíčky”. It’s a Czech thing. This is the only place that specializes in vegan version. Give it a try, It’s delicious.

Top place - will never get tired of their "chlebíčky" - Edit
This place specializes in "chlebíčky" - Czech open-faced sandwiches, which are basically considered as party food, but you can also have 2 or 3 of them as a light lunch. They also serve daily soup and some sweets. A unique place - probably the only vegan place of this kind in the Czech Republic. The owner and all the staff are super friendly and polite.
