great meal

Me and my partner loved this place. Dedicated menu and understanding of what a vegan is! Perfect after a day of playing with the deer

Pros: separate vegan menu

Cons: about 12 choices only

vegan dishes very good

Normal portations that everybody got full from (vegans and meat eaters), friendly staff, quick service, a service bell on every table. Staff spoke little but good English and understood vegan.

Pros: A separate vegan menu, 12 vegan dishes, 600-900¥

Cons: allow inside smoking

Good spot

Vegan menu has maybe eight or so options. Nice flavors and super friendly staff. Ate here three days whilst in Nara, good option.

they “occasionally” serve the menu

I waited in line and when seated they told me that they don’t have a vegan menu🤷🏼‍♀️

worth a visit

Tried both the sweet & sour stir fry & the cashew stir fry. Cashew was definitely my favourite. Really yum & fresh veggies. Staff was really helpful & nice.
Their soy meat was really good!

Fabulous vegan option Chinese food in Nara

We popped in here for lunch whilst touring Japan in August.

The staff were friendly, polite and helpful, and the restaurant clearly gets the vegan thing as is made obvious by the clearly labelled (English included) menu. I've always loved Chinese food and this was by far the best I've enjoyed since going full vegan. Just beautiful. Try the sweet & sour tofu! I am sure you'll be delighted. And the price was pretty cheap.

Pros: Beautiful food, Friendly, Well priced

Very tasty!

Was very happy to find this place in Nara. There aren't that many vegan options to begin with, and there are NO vegan Chinese options, so finding this place was a treat.
We had some sweet and sour "chicken", ma-bo tofu, and something lovely with cashews in it. It was all very tasty and not too pricey to boot.
The vegan menu is a separate menu from the "regular" menu, so that was helpful too.

I should add that the first time I visited this place, it was during the o-bon summer holiday. I say the vegan menu sign and immediately rushed in--BUT they said that during holiday season they don't serve items from the vegan menu. What a bummer! Honestly, I got pretty angry and wasn't too eager to return--but my craving for Chinese eventually got the better of me :)

Pros: Tasty, Separate vegan menu, A good number of options

Cons: Not cheap--but not that expensive either, No vegan menu during "busy season"

Loved it!

A gem in Nara. As the description says, there were several vegan options and unlike generally in Japan, they gave us our food to share. It was really good and reasonably priced. One note: the "main dishes" are relatively small (though full of flavor) so make sure to order rice separately as well to fill your stomach.

Pros: Excellent food, Friendly staff, Good value

Cons: Small portions
