Small affordable snackbar that serves lasagna, quinoa salad, carrot cake, veggie burger (served with sweet potato fries), vegan burger which can be made gluten-free, butternut soup and more. In the evening only burgers and fries are available. All the vegetables are organic from a local farm and the drinks are also organic (sodas, fruit juice, beer, coffee and tea). Reported fully vegan July 2020. Reported closed April 2021.

Good burger for a good price - Edit
A small snack bar with a small menu and some seats in and outside. The place is not really cosy, but the friendly owner makes it unique. The snack Bar sets its focus at its burgers. So you really get a good burger there, for a good price.

Cons: The seats are a little bit uncomfortable.

Tasty & easy to eat burger - Edit
I had the Mexican vegan burger, which tasted just perfect, was easy to eat and was served on a china plate. 8 euros is rather cheap for France given the fact that the vegetables are locally sourced from an organic farm. I quite liked getting free tap water. The owner does everything himself and is extremely efficient and clearly loves his job - absolutely impressive. The only downside is that it´s a teeny tiny place with typical snackbar interior design (and food preparation smell) but sitting outside was definitely lovely.

Leckerer Burger - Edit

Must visit - Edit
Excellent place. The food is delicious, healthful and filling. Sebastien is a warm, kind and charming host equally fluent in both English and French. All vegetarian menu that changes every week and there is always at least one option for a vegan soup/starter, main and dessert.
Read moreLucky me because everything on the menu was vegan on my two visits there and I was spoilt for choice! I tried the vegan sandwich (with grilled tofu, avocado and other veggies), the vegan burger (easily one of the best patties I have ever tasted) with perfectly done fries, and the red bell pepper stuffed with tofu, courgettes/zucchini, onions, bell peppers, garlic, tomato sauce and Provençal herbs with a side of rice and salad. All incredibly good. Would go here very regularly if I lived in Avignon. Can’t recommend enough!
Pros: Vegan options, Delicious, Fresh, Homemade, Organic, Reasonably priced
Cons: None

If you need something quick - Edit
If you need something quickly prepared, it's ok. It's almost vegan-only, but you don't have much choice and the price ist not so cheap. 4 EUR for a soup, 7,50 for a "tarte", 11,50 for the dish of the day. The sitting is not so cosy...

Cons: Rather fast food than restaurant, Not so much choice

Tasty Veggie/Vegan Place - Edit
We loved our visit to Chic Planète. The owner was incredibly friendly, and we really enjoyed chatting with him. There were a good selection of vegan options on the menu permanently, with the soup of the day also always being vegan. I had the bean chilli, and my other half had the veggie burger with homemade fries. These were both vegan, but you can add dairy cheese to the burger (or even vegan cheese) if you wish. Everything is homemade, which you can tell: i've never tried such a good vegan burger pattie. We followed up with apple compote and chocolate cake (chocolate cake sadly not being vegan), and we ordered these same desserts again to take home for the next day as they were so tasty. While Chic Planète is always open for lunch during the week, he occasionally opens over the weekend or in the evening, so its best to check up on the facebook page which the owner updates daily (we were just walking past and saw the sign in the door that he was opening friday evening too). Having lived in Paris for a while now, it's somewhat difficult to gauge how 'expensive' the place is, and it's important to remember that everything is homemade, so some of the options: Burger (€8.50); Burger + Fries + Beer (€15); Fries (€3.50); Plat du jour (€8.50). We would definitely recommend Chic Planète, and would go back if we had more time in Avignon!

Friendly chef speaks good English! - Edit
We visited today Nov. 11, 2017 "! For lunch after touring the Palais du Pape. The chef patiently explained the French menu to us with a smile. The food was delicious! We had the vegetable burger, the Plat du jour and the vegan chocolate mousse. Very reasonable prices for such great food. The burger was savory and very filling and the sweet potato fries were cooked perfectly. The salad siding of the heavenly au gratin was drizzled with the local olive oil which is the best since it comes from Provence . The sauce was outstanding. To culminate such a great meal, the vegan mousse was perfect. Just the right sweetness and consistency. Highly recommended!

Vegetarian haven - Edit
It was great to finally see a vegetarian restaurant. We stayed in Arles and our visit to Avignon was a blessing to run into this quaint place where they have different meals of the day. The chef speaks English well and described all the menu items as well as the soup and plate of the day. Superb atmosphere and friendly chef top! Must visit!
