Great find! - Edit
Had the potato salad and Reuben, both were exceptional! I have not had a Reuben since before going vegan, it was delightful. They had a watermelon Fresca that really hit the spot!

Gem in the desert - Edit
Super fresh and delicious food, and the people there were so friendly! I really like how they had vegan takes on regular food like egg salad, macaroni salad, caprese sandwich, etc. It was very satisfying and filling, perfect to grab some lunch here.

First time visiting this resturant, food was delicious and very filling. The shop is cute and the staff is friendly. They have lots of samples, so you can taste stuff before you decide what you want. I will definitely be back!

great for pick up - Edit
Surprisingly delicious food. Very accommodating, even for gluten free diners (in a place that's basically a gluten-filled seitan factory!). Especially memorable is the caesar salad.

great food! - Edit
Had the grinder, it was good, very filling too. It was a little expensive being almost $10 also got a lemon cake, it was pretty good, kinda heavy. Also had the smokey pasta the macorony salad, both really good. And they were about $5 each which seems reasonable. I will definitely be back to try more things! Many options on menu

Great lunch spot! - Edit
I love this place! We tried two sandwiches cut in half so my husband and I could have a half of each. They were great! We will definitely be back to try more of the menu. We had the peanut butter chocolate chip cookie for dessert and it was yummy too.

Happy discovery - Edit
This is food created by the one and only Tanya Petrovna, the founder of Native Foods. Her new Chef Tanya's restaurant makes us wish we could move to Palm Springs. We had lunch there 2 days ago, and are still fondly remembering the large, overstuffed scrumptious sandwiches and warm, friendly atmosphere. Order prep takes a while, but it's well worth the wait. I don't know how she manages to take ordinary ingredients and magic them into such memorable bites.

Best Vegan in Palm Springs - Edit
My Killer Caprese was so good as was the BLT and potato salad. I'm so jealous of the regulars who kept coming in and out as we are just passing through town. It is truly your anytown deli but vegan. The staff was so friendly and the assortment of goods in the store was impressive. I heard someone say they will be doing mail delivery soon. When I come to Palm Springs again, this is where you'll find me.

Delicious - Edit
On a weekend trip to Palm Springs, our first stop was to Chef Tanya's for lunch. I've been patiently waiting for Tanya to open her own place again and none of us were disappointed. We shared the Cubano, pastrami and chicken sandwiches. So yummy. We also shared the chocolate cake for dessert. So moist. The hibiscus drink was refreshing too. I got a bunch of the VioLife cheeses to go as I've only had them in Europe before. There's lots of other to-go items as well from salads to homemade vegan meats and desserts. I hope she'll open in LA someday as it's all so delicious. She and her staff are all so welcoming and friendly too. Go now!

Wow, just wow! - Edit
Thanks to a new listing on Happy Cow, we were thrilled to discover Chef Tanya's new vegan eatery yesterday, tucked away in a cool industrial area at the end of East Sunny Dunes Road. What a sweet spot! I am a sucker for vegan BLTs and Chef Tanya's version (with to-die-for tofu "bacon" and avocado) was first-rate. It was a daily special and I highly recommend putting it on the regular menu! Don't miss Tanya's Mediterranean chop salad with scrumptious pops of flavor from currants, green olives and slivers of date. My partner raved about his Cubano sandwich and we both enjoyed the refreshing watermelon-lemonade-mint agua fresca and succulent apple-blueberry crumble. It was such a pleasure to meet Chef Tanya in person after years of admiring her from afar. She and her staff are friendly and welcoming. We just moved to Palm Springs and will definitely be regulars at Chef Tanya's Kitchen! P.S. The cafe is open until 8 pm on Wednesdays and will feature a special dinner entree.

4 of us ate here and all 4 of us said it was the best vegan food we've tasted yet in Palm Springs. The staff are also very friendly and informative. Can't wait to go again and try more from the menu.

Vegan Done Right in Palm Springs - Edit
Tanya Petrovna is back and better than ever with her incredible plant-based creations. I've been 3 times since she opened and I've tried the Eggy Sandwich, El Cubano, the Pastrami Mami, the macaroni salad and her decadent cobbler desserts. She also features a special of the day and her Agua Frescas are refreshing. She's open late on Wednesdays so you can pick up dinner on your way home. I like the deli aspect so you can pick up additional items and salads to use at home as well. Be sure and pick up some crack cheese too. Vegan food done right and the portions are generous. Thanks Tanya for feeding the masses with delicious and cruelty-free offerings.

AMAZING!!! - Edit
Chef Tanya is back, and the food is better than ever. This is emotionally delicious vegan grub. Not to be melodramatic, but I live for this food... I've been a fan of her culinary sorcery since first discovering Native Foods almost 20 years ago. Had the Cubano sandwich, probably one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The Moroccan Chop salad was also fantastic. A cute little lunch shop tucked away a bit off the beaten path, standing counters only.

Yum! I had the Cuban sandwich and my husband had the tuno melt. We also had the pesole soup. EVERYTHING was fabulous! It's a take out restaurant but our sandwiches did not make it out the door...we ate them at the counter. I HIGHLY recommend eating there...healthy and delicious!
