Serves meat, vegan options available. Indian food with vegan choices, including daal, aloo gobi, ginger cauliflower, eggplant, okra, among others - check with staff. Located a few blocks from the strip.
They offer some clearly marked vegan main dishes which aren't served with rice so you have to additionaly order some (4 dollars for one portion). The food was tasty, but also very spicy. Portions were good. Free tap water and friendly stuff. The safran rice isn't vegan, we asked the waitress and she was well informed.
It was nice to see a vegan section in the menu! Made ordering easier since they know what vegan is, however, it wasn't comprehensive and we still had to ask about the breads, salads, etc. Contrary to the previous review, they said their naan cannot be made vegan...but the dal was very good. Overall we really enjoyed the food, despite the service being slow and incorrect.
Avoid the tourist traps - come here instead! - Edit
My girlfriend and I were passing through Niagara Falls and looking for a restaurant with vegan options. The two Indian restaurants on the strip seemed awful, and we were starting to wonder if we were out of options when we discovered this place just a few blocks off the strip. We had the ginger cauliflower and the eggplant, with plain rice and plain (unbuttered) naan, which the server assured us did not contain any dairy. The dishes were delicious and authentic and we were delighted to have found the place. Highly recommended.
