Very quiet and picturesque dining room. Menu has multiple vegan options, enough to allow you some indecision on you choices. Very tasty food.

I visited Chaophraya with my omnivore colleagues, and I chose the restaurant, so myself and a vegetarian colleague could eat something delicious as well.

Found this restaurant after finding other similar places in Aberdeen disappointing (menu options and/or staff attitudes). Wasn't sure what to expect but plenty of Vegan options with either tofu or not-chicken (apparently mushroom based). Everything was really tasty, fresh and good portion sizes. Mocktails good too! Atmosphere was really nice and relaxed, and staff were really attentive and friendly.

The decor and atmosphere of this restaurant is so elegant and warm. Our server was super attentive and friendly, and seeing a cookery class going on in the next room was so interesting! We ordered from the lunch set menu, and felt that it was really good value for what you get. Our food came out quickly, was beautifully presented, and was absolutely delicious!! Such amazing flavours. There are vegan options for starters, mains and desserts, so you won't feel left out no matter how hungry you are.

Restaurant with a separate vegan menu, which was promising. Unfortunately the waitress didn’t seem to realise that we were ordering from the vegan menu and we ended up with the omnivore versions of our dishes. I only noticed the tiny shrimps in my papaya salad after I’d tucked in. The Pad Thai had egg in it and when the bill came, I realised that I’d been served the shrimp tempura as a starter (which explained the texture of the mystery “vegetable” that I hadn’t been able to figure out).
Read moreWe’d let them know we’re vegan when we booked the table and the vegan menu looks very different from the omnivore one which we hadn’t opened, so I’m really not sure what went wrong here.

I very much enjoyed the meal here. There are a lot of vegan options and the staff were very attentive and accommodating. Food were delicious and can be made to order for flavour preferences (not spicy, not salty, etc.) The price is not expensive at all for what you get.
