The best Thali experience, worth every penny - Edit
I heard of chandigarh and as it wasn't clear whether the thalis could be made vegan, it was one reason why we were reluctant to book it, it was also a bit expensive so we were reluctant to try. And then finally I learned about booking in advance requesting the vegan option, and we finally went and wewere blown away.
Read moreI was a chef for a while, I make a lot of fairly decent indian food myself-- but this is next level. You can take that everything is freshly made with care and bursting with flavours. It's the best vegan Thali I ever had, and for the quality of food, the price seems really reasonable. Their cocktails are also very delicious. the owner of the restaurant is very kind and helped explain a lot of the process they use for cooking, everything is made from fresh ingredients, they don't even use tinned tomatoes, and I appretiate that - I like
The interior design of the place is a great hommage to Le Corbusier who designed the city of Chandigarh in India. It's a place that visually appealing. I appretiate the rare occasion when I can eat at a vegan place that is nice.
the vegan change isn't much, as they already don't use egg, the only restriction for vegans is dairy
I highly recommend it
Pros: quality food and a fair price for that, great design, almosyt vegan
Cons: service can sometimes not be that great, have to order vegan in advance

Good but a bit too pricey - Edit
I would put a 3.5/5 to this place. Even though it was really tasty, I found it rather expensive and to be completely honest, there are lots of Indian restaurants where you can eat tasty food for cheaper. I still had a nice time over there but probably not a place I would go back to when in Brussels.

Bon restaurant avec des possibilités veganes. Peut être un peu cher pour ce que c'est malheureusement. Chouette cadre.

Thali made vegan on request - Edit
It's awkwardly paradoxical how vegetarian restaurants are sometimes not too vegan friendly.
Read moreThe only thing on the menu is the thali (northern Indian), and vegans get the vegan version of it, i.e. the same without the paneer and yogurt dishes...
So my thali consisted of rice, naan bread, a papaddum, four cups with vegetables stew, two with salads/ pickles, and one with chutney. The rice was remarquable but the rest was less convincing.
What disturbs me the most is that you have to order a whole thali. It's relatively pricey, as these "big plate with a bit of everything" usually are, but in this case you don't have the option to order something more simple if you're not too hungry or if you don't want to spend too much. This in my opinion kind of sends a nasty message like "you're not welcome here if you're not ready to spend at least 35 EUR per person", so not exactly a friendly vibe.

Best vegetarian Indian restaurant, wish there were more like it. Excellent food, service ambiance - Edit
Everything, service (impressively fast and pleasant) quality quantity of food, taste - nothing lacking . Everything made from scratch, price is worth it. Thali had rice pulao, nan, tandoori roti, vegetables chat, papad, dahi vada, dal, paneer Sabzi baigan Bharta, tomato chutney, aloo gobhi was so good.

Loved it! but expensive - Edit
We were here for dinner just before going to a show at the next door Cirque Royal. So happy that there is now a restaurant with vegan options in the area!
Read moreWe didn't make a reservation, and were very happy that there was still a table free for us (it is advised to make a reservation - nearly all tables were booked for the evening).
Spacious place, nice interior, all new. Hard wooden chairs though (some cushions would be nice).
Upstairs is a smaller area with cushions to sit on the floor.
We were given a menu, but only to choose some appetizers, as on that evening there was only one main dish on offer: a selection of different small dishes (28euro). For appetizers we had the masala Papad and the Pokoda (both 4€). It was no problem to have everything vegan.
Nice food. Not really spicy (hot).
Friendly service too.
Toilets are upstairs. Did not see an accessible toilet. Ground flour is with large step to get in.
Pros: vegan options near Cirque Royal! , great food
Cons: rather expensive (but that's Brussels ...), not accessible (pity, since it was renovated)
