Boba pearls are small and sticky

I’m not a fan of the boba pearls they use. They seemed very popular so this may just be a matter of personal preference.

Amazing tofu rice bowl

Every time I visit Chapel Hill, I come to Cha House and get their tofu rice bowl. Every element of the rice bowl is delicious. The fried tofu is light, crispy and chewy at the same time. I've never found tofu prepared like this anywhere else, and I've been looking for it. The tea egg is always perfectly cooked. The rice is the perfect texture- just sticky but not clumped together, and yummy on its own. The broccoli salad is refreshing. The whole thing is finished off with a drizzle of soy paste. You have to try it. Vegan without the egg.

They make the tofu rice bowl to order, so it can sometimes take ~10 minutes to prepare.

They also offer multiple plant-based milk options and you can request zero sugar.
