fresh Mexican fare & drinks with good vegan options - Edit
No pics to share bc the hostess was charging my phone up front but had to add this listing for Los Agaves because it was such a relief to have good food at a nonvegan restaurant while we camped on Assateague Island! The other listings here mostly require you to drive over the bridge into OCMD but the cantina was only about 20 mins away. They served complimentary warmed chips and salsa which was great. I had the #6 on the vegetarian menu without cheese which was a spinach and a mushroom chimichanga served with guac and pico de gallo, both delicious. It needed a kick so I asked for the house spicy sauce which was awesome. I also ordered the spicy margarita without salt on the rim which was excellent. Food came out quickly and service was good. My bf is gluten free and got the veggie fajitas without cheese or sour cream, asked for corn tortillas with. The veggies came out sizzling on a skillet and tasted great. The mural on the aqua- colored walls was beautiful. Everyone was happy :)
