AMAZING local neighborhood gem!!

The renovations on this place took a while but were oh-so-worth-it!! Everyone is so friendly here and they are all well versed in vegan dietary restrictions - they are happy to answer any questions and everyone knows what dishes can be made vegan (or what dishes already are vegan by default!). I've been here frequently since they opened and I think I've tried every dish possible so far. The salad is unbelievable, so fresh and tasty. The salsas y tostadas are homemade, spicy, and delectable. The huarache de hongos are soooo good, I get them every time no matter what (takeout containers are readily available, just ask!). At first I was really skeptical that their refried beans are actually vegan but they are qnd they are to die for!!! I recommend saving some of the salsas from the appetizer plate to use with the huarache de hongos, the extra spice punches it up (if that's your thing :). Last but certainly not least, you HAVE to get the Mexican chocolate mousse. YOU HAVE TO!!! (Just make sure to ask for it without the milk caramel/dulce de leche.) It is UNREAL. So good.
