Tasty cakes - Edit
Usually half a dozen vegan cakes at one of the few Jesmond cafes that is open late. Also offers light meals like soup with sourdough and avocado on toast.

Tall cakes and great selection of teas - Edit
Three vegan cakes available today on my visit, that may not sound much but they are really good cakes, a big wedge of cake with a good inch of topping all served on vintage plates. Also great selection of loose leaf teas, from herbal through to various green, oolong and rose. Lots of plant milk and a generous amount brought with my pot of tea. All the coffee selection you woud expect too. Bearing in mind its open 12 hrs a day 7 days pw this place is clean, tidy and the staff are friendly. Expect to queue behind folk getting very excited over the vast array of cakes hence it may be a while before you are served - fair enough, the cakes are lovely.

It’s pretty rare to find a bakery with vegan options that aren’t stale - in both the cake and the flavour choices, but cake stories delivers! They serve up the most scrumptious and moist vegan cakes I’ve had in a long time! I tried the Oreo, which was perfectly chocolatey with a generous helping of creamy icing and the peanut butter, which was a very rich blondie type cake.
