Vegan tomato soup, Vegan lasagne & Vegan Shepherds pie - Edit

Read moreGreat to see two vegan mains on the menu. They had two soups on - lentil and tomato. Waitress offered to check if vegan with the answer was definitely for tomato and unsure for the lentil (always a bit worrying when the staff can't find out what's in the food...)
Service was very quick, despite it being very busy. Waitress checked we didn't want butter which was good.
Mains were decent in portion size, however thr vegan lasagne was bland and garlic bread may not have had garlic on (very oily and had some herbs). Partner enjoyed the taste of the shepherds pie though.
There aren't that many places to eat vegan in Aviemore, so may be worth one visit for a posh type venue.

Cons: Vegan lasagne and garlic bread wasn't tasty , Staff unsure if lentil soup was vegan

Nice option for Aviemore - Edit
Not many vegan dishes here, but I liked what I got. Good soup and a tasty, comforting and healthy Shepherd's pie. Not extremely impressive or creative, yes, but it's not like there are many other options around here...

The vegan lasagna is flavorless mush. The person next to me go the veg shepherds pie and it looked bad. The garlic bread was so bad, so oily and salty and no garlic flavor. The veggies were just steamed on the side (the worst way to cook veggies imo) and no seasoning. Even the meat eater with me thought his burger was dry and overall not good. For breakfast they did have vegan butter for toast, jam and fruit.

My husband had vegan risotto, I had halloumi burger. Two enormous slabs of halloumi, couldn't eat it all.

Vegan shepherds pie pretty good though vegetable side overcooked and unappetizing. It seemed the risotto was vegan-ised by adding salt and removing the garlic bread: not the best!!
