Lots of vegan options, also for dessert

They offer a lot of vegan food, for all courses. The vegan blue cheese was especially good! Great staff too.

Disappointing dinner

We had dinner at Dantesca, and we were excited to try this restaurant after seeing how many vegan options they had on the menu! We were a group of 4 where 2 ate vegan dishes and 2 with fish, and we were all pretty disappointed in the food. The dishes were small and pricey, and nothing we couldn’t have made at home. The coperto was €2.5, and for that we got cutlery in paper bags placed in the middle of the table and 4 very small and dry pieces of bread.

In addition, the waiter messed up our order. My boyfriend who had ordered a vegan pasta dish, didn’t receive his dish. When we asked about it, our waiter told us it’s on its way. 5 minutes later, she comes back and tells us that they had forgotten the dish and would make it immediately. None of the dishes were anything special at all, and lacking in flavor. We left hungry even though we all had ordered a secondi and a side dish, and some ate desert.

It’s Okay

I was in Pisa over lunch and came here because they have a lot of vegan options on their menu. The staff was very kind and helpful, they had just opened and weren’t busy. I ordered the ‘vegan boat’ which is eggplant with veggies. The food was okay, nothing special or overly delicious. It lacked flavour.
I ordered water and an iced tea, but only received the iced tea. The water was in the bill so I had to ask to have it removed, which they did. I didn’t take the bread but was still charged for the cover charge.

If you need a place with vegan options in Pisa, this can work. But the food wasn’t amazing, especially for the price.

Delicious vegan food

So many vegan and vegetarian options on the menu was hard to choose as they all sounded delicious.
Went for a vegan pizza with aubergine and courgette on, was amazing and would highly recommend going.
Wish I could have tried more.

Pros: Lovely service , Beautiful place , Delicious food and drink

Tasty pasta

The pesto pasta here was tasty. There wasn't many options but Pisa didn't seem super vegan friendly so it was good compared to other places.

Lovely atmosphere and location

The staff were very nice and they knew what was and wasn’t vegan on the menu. We shared the pasta rolls for starters; I recommend the pasta rolls with the soy yoghurt dip as it was very tasty. It does say it has milk on the menu but it’s plant milk. I had the wholewheat pasta with pesto which was ok, it was a bit bitter. It needed some other flavour contrast. We also got the penne with olives which was nicer. Overall it was enjoyable and the location and atmosphere was perfect.

Pros: Atmosphere, Staff, Food

Cons: Need more vegan options

Expensive but excellent

We rally appreciated vegan option, even the dessert. I think it’s overpriced for location/quantity of food: we paid 25€ per person for one dish, dessert and coffee..I know we are under inflation period, but we shared 1 bottle water and 1 appetizer in three people, the price was too high.

lovely location, friendly staff, average food

It's located in a lovely part of Pisa and the staff are very friendly. Quite a few vegan options including pizza, risotto, savoury crumble, 'burger' patties and a sweet crumble. The couscous burger patties were yummy, but I didn't read like the risotto as it was very rocket-heavy. It's one of the better options for vegans visiting the area as everything is clearly labelled.

Cosy Italian place

A nice and cosy place with kind staff. Vegan options arw clearly labeled on the menu. For main courses I could choose a vegan zucchini-walnut crumble or a risotto. I had the first and it was very decent.

Pros: Clearly labeled vegan items, Innovative dishes

Cons: No vegan desserts, Food was good, but not great

Vegan gnocchi

Couple of decent vegan options - a gnocchi, a burger and a broccoli crumble. They understand vegan. Bit pricey and not too many options but nice location and decent enough.
