Loved the jhalfrezi! - Edit
Had the jhalfrezi with lots of fresh veggies in it and just the right amount of spice. served with rice and purchased a vegan naan bread to have with the dish. It was exceptionally good.

Weird hours - Edit
They never seem to be open early enough for when we tried to go there. They’re part of a food truck area and everything else opens earlier. They have a vegan combo plate that’s good.

Lots of vegan options - Edit
Indian food truck with a good amount of vegan options. Unfortunately they were out of the vegan combo when I was there, but I got the curry which was good. It’s not my favorite food truck in that lot (I prefer Fresh Bite), but it hits the spot when you want Indian food! They also had a great iced hibiscus tea.

Awesome all vegan combo - Edit
Stopped at this cluster of food trucks after an afternoon in Hanalei. This was the only open truck, and I was happy to see it features an all vegan combo on the menu. This was a lot of food for a reasonable price and it really hit the spot. The service was friendly and I loved the atmosphere of the area. I got medium spicy, and that was plenty of spice for me (just about right).
Read moreReally wish the Thai place and the Holey Grail donut truck were open when I went. It’s maybe half a block down the road from the Wishing Well shaved ice stand (which was also terrific). If you’re in the area, definitely stop by and check some of the places out. Hopefully more of the trucks will be open :)

A Gem of a place - Edit
Finally got to try this place, so delicious and fresh food. My favorite was the Hibiscus Turmeric Tea not a combo I would have thought of but is very refreshing. Highly recommend, however it’s not always open so I advise to call ahead, if your like me and are on the other side of island and want to go to Hanalei for the day and to eat here. It’s best to not have your heart set on it. Lol

Anti-chicken food trucks= bad vibes - Edit
The chickens are one of the things about this island that make me the happiest. This food truck corral has big “Don’t Feed the Chickens!” signs up. It casts a negative energy on the whole establishment. These chickens are like family pets coming up for scraps that fall during a meal. Most people are afraid of animals, mean to them or looking for an excuse to treat them unkindly as it is. Let’s not add fuel to that fire. God forbid people exercise a little common sense .. just don’t leave your plate out, full of food and walk away. Chickens are the clean up crew. We should be thankful they’re there and the food isn’t otherwise going to waste.
Read moreIf they don’t want the chickens congregating by the picnic tables, have a “Feed your scraps to the chickens HERE” sign in an out-of-the-way area. Guarantee the chickens would hang out there instead.
Other noteworthy things:
Hard to find. Can’t see it from the road. Look for the liquor store. It’s behind there in the food truck corral.
Irregular hours. Some days they are open, some days they are not. The good news is, if they aren’t open there are many other food trucks here with vegan options.
I had the veg curry with rice and naan. It was good but nothing earth shattering. Very straight forward curry, quite bland really.
I was just happy to have Indian food.

Gluten Free Vegan Options - Edit
I had the Chana and it was so delicious. My husband enjoyed his meal also. We will definitely go back later this week. It is next to Fresh Bites and other food trucks so lots of options for everyone.

4 vegan options - Edit
I had the coconut veg curry and really liked it. I got the mild spice level and felt like I could have done medium because the mild wasn't spicy at all. There are 4 vegan options that are clearly marked on the menu. Very tasty and the portion size was good. I wish they would have roti since the naan isn't vegan. Also appreciated that they knew what vegan meant, which had not been the case at other places on the island.

The best curry - Edit
Wow! The veg coconut curry was the best I’ve ever had! They offer a choice of spice level which is nice. I chose mild but could’ve tolerated a little more heat and if I went back would ask for medium. My husband had the veg jalfrezi and that was also very good. Would’ve liked some roti since naan isn’t vegan but the portion is so big we were full but the bread would be nice to soak up all the wonderful sauce. Bring cash or go to liquor store buy drinks and get cash back there!

Delish - Edit
Amazing how much of this is vegan. What a treat to find! Their coconut curry is the deal, the rest of the dishes are a little heavy on the beans and onions (which my partner can't do, unfortunately. But I can, fortunately.). The veg curry, wow! Perfect basmati rice.

Authentic Indian Food -- Delicious - Edit
We stumbled across this food truck while driving through the North Shore on our recent vacation to Hawaii. The food was delicious and a very large portion for a food truck. The menu was 75% vegan and very diverse. The owners were very personable and chatted with us for while. If you are in the area, make a stop here for sure!!! Cute tables outside with Indian decor and books to review.
