Serves meat, vegan options available. A pay what you can cafe that aims to reduce the gap between food poverty and food waste by using unsold food from supermarkets. There are only a few items on the full menu but typically has at least one or two vegan options. There is also a shelf full of food items to take away such as bread, cereals, assorted tins, etc. Also has free sanitary products. Open Wed-Fri 10:00-15:00. Closed Sat-Tues. Lunch served 12-2, tea & coffee served througuhout.

Nice and friendly cafe - show support - Edit
I love that Galashiels has a cafe like this. I primarily eat a vegan diet but will slip to vegetarian when food would otherwise be wasted. Coffee is nice, staff are friendly (mostly volunteers), and food is decent. Normally a few vegan options/items but it depends on what has been acquired that day from the supermarkets. Plenty of food on the food shelves to takeaway. A Pay What You Can ethos that means people struggling get to eat out. I think it is awesome and no place I'd rather eat in Gala.
