There were clearly marked vegan options. It took a little bit to find them. We had a very impatient waiter. There were several vegetarian options that were not vegan, and the waiter could not offer suggestions as to how to make them vegan. For example, I ordered a falafel wrap without the tasiki sauce. I told the waiter I was concerned that it might be dry and he had no suggestions. Eventually, we realized that there was a salad that actually had a vegan dressing. By then, he told me it was too late to make any changes. He had not even left the table yet. He said they were already making it.
My husband ordered after me, and he ordered the kleiner germischter salat (We think that means small sialad).
I later saw the Vegan Merkur, and I think that would have been okay and a better solution. But the waiter said it was too late to change even though he had not left the table yet.
When it came, the food was actually tasty. The falafel wrap was a little dry but not too dry. I definitely wish I had ordered something different. Had the waiter been more patient, I think I would have had a much better and more enjoyable meal. It just was not helpful in the way of vegan suggestions.
The salad was tasty, and it was not small. I would give tastiness of the food 4 out of five stars. But, the waiter definitely lowered my rating for this restaurant. He really soured my experience. It would not have taken a genius to be able to suggest the vegan salad dressing instead of taziki sauce.
die karte bietet viele veggie/vegane optionen, burger, tofu gerichte, süßes etc. den kaffee kann man mit hafermilch ( 0.40€) bestellen. es ist recht viel platz und das personal ist freundlich ☺️
There are no vegan options on the menu. You can change some dishes so they can be vegan, and even though there are not much options.I took an eggplant from the oven an it was not that good, it was a cold eggplant mashed salad. The coffe was bad as well.
I visited in my first day here and preferred the Tofu Yaki Toro which was very nice ( tofu and vegetable skewers) on rice with small pieces of eggplant and went back again a few days later to try the good Arabic plate with Humus, eggplant spread, rice filled vine leaves and falafel with home made pita bread, they have free wifi and very nice seating area inside and out, very recommend.
