Great cafe, maybe not for vegan breakfast - Edit
Great place next to the museum quarter. We had the vegan breakfast which was okay. Wish we visited later for cakes or drinks, great ambiance and plenty of vegan options.

I just love it! - Edit
It's one of the oldest "Kaffehaus" of the city, but it isn't too crowded and the prices are not too expensive. The young owners are very nice and the music ist simply amazing! All the hot drinks can be also made with oat milk. They have a vegan breakfast, two vegan cakes and a remarcable vegan food offer

Nice variety and great vibe - Edit
Lovely café with nice hipster vibes. I think that the menu was changed quite recently, since there are plenty of vegan options currently. Check their menu on the website. Incredible vegan feta on the salad!

Must visit in Vienna - Edit
Every time I'm in Vienna, I certainly end up at Kafka's at some point.
Read moreTo be honest, I've never eaten anything there, despite being there countless times.
But the coffee is great and first of all the atmosphere is priceless. Authentic venue.
Don't expect anything fancy - it's old and hasn't changed much in decades. You can smoke in there. Great for coffee in the afternoon and great for beer in the evening.
Perfect place to write.
You can meet interesting people there too.

Not Bad - Edit
Not really for me as it was too smokey but this place will have its fans precisely because of that. Falafel were good though.

Functional but smoky - Edit
The menu is entirely vegetarian but quite short (4-5 items). The food was good (but not great); I had the felafel and salad which comes with hummus. I sat outside as I thought it might be less smoky (and it was a lovely day) but the smoke was still thick so be prepared for that. Service was efficient rather than friendly but the waiter spoke English which was very helpful. The location is convenient for the Museum Quarter and the opening hours make it a good spot to keep in reserve, especially for Sundays when there are not many vegetarian or vegetarian-friendly options nearby.

Cons: lots of smoke

Nice but there are many better options in vienna - Edit
I went there in May 2013 and I really liked the fact that it is next to Maria-Hilfer-Straße. (as a tourist you have to visit Maria-Hilfer-Straße). I had falafel with salad, which was the only vegan option the day we went there. The food was great (i was very hungry) and the waitress was not unfriendly but she ws not really kind, i had the felling that she didn't like the customers at all.

Cafe Kafka - Edit
A real advantage of this cafe is that it is around the corner from the main shopping street in Vienna.
Read moreThe last time i visited was 2 years ago and they had the best Samosa iv ever tasted. It was vegan :-) There was seating for smokers and non smokers. I,ll make a point to visit this place again soon and check out the other vege options.
Pros: Location, Atmosphere, Reasonable prices
Cons: Small area for non-smokers, not enough vegan options

Unfriendly , small selection - Edit
I don't know if this is under new ownership since the other review but this was basically a normal cafe with no vegan options. There were the usual veggie options that you would find in any cafe, cheese panini etc. There were very few of those as it was a small one page menu. The staff weren't particularly friendly either.

Cons: No vegan food, Small menu, Staff unfriendly
