Real nice little café with perfect location in Ribe. Very cosy place. Abseloutely a MUST TRY if you are nearby. The food is great and so is the owner. This is the place to go if you want plantbased, organic and honest food made with love. Highly recommended.

Cosy cafe. They don't have a menu, the owner sums up what she has got that day. We had a choice between a mushroom burger, a jackfruit burger, a surprise plate and a no-chicken salad. We chose the jackfruit burger. It was really nice. We paid nearly 800 DKK (nearly 80 euros) for 3 jackfruitburgers, two drinks and one coffee, which is extremely expensive in my opinion.

The staff was extremely friendly and translated the whole menu to German for me. They have an extra oven for people who need their food gluten-free. I took a jackfruit burger which was nice but nothing special. The prices were high-even for Denmark (i paid 175 kr for the brurger and tap water without fries or any other sides)

Café K-ærlig is a must go-to place for me, every time I am in Ribe. I was here the first time in 2016, and several times since.
Read moreThe food is very delucious, and everything is homemade and vegan. The café itself is very cosy with nice, old, second-hand furniture, located in the cosy, old part of Ribe town.
The menu is a bit different from time to time, but burgers and sandwiches are always an option.
The only minor downside is that they are not open in the evening. So you can only come for lunch.
But the lunch is nice, so do a visit at Café K-ærlig, next time you are in Ribe. Or at the annual Tønder Festival at late-august, where Café K-ærlig have a 100 % vegan food stall.

Absolute recommendation. We had a jackfruit burger, filled pancakes as well as fantastic fruit cake and coffee. Everything was freshly prepared and the people who run the place were super nice.

What a wonderful cozy place. We went here on a rainy and cold day and got a wonderful lunch. We had pumpkin soup and a sandwich with ‘chicken salad’ made of jackfruit. Both dishes were so delicious! Prices were on the higher side, but almost all ingredients are organic there, so no problem.

The food here is delicious and the people who run the place were lovely and friendly and the whole atmosphere was a warm family feeling. The chickpea burger was so delicious with amazing homemade pesto and the surprise plate was full of such delicious foods with an impressive range of ingredients and flavours. Both inside and outside sitting area were comfortable and look great as well. Would definitely love to go back.

We were exploring Ribe for a couple of days and in search of good vegetarian or vegan food. After reading a review of Cafe K-aerlig on HappyCow, we knew we'd feel right at home here. We were not disappointed! The menu changes every day based on ingredients the owner chooses and the day we wandered in we settled on a tofu dog and a beet burger. The food was amazing! It was flavored so well and crafted with such care and creativity. We enjoyed the atmosphere - it's bright and charming! The owner greeted us and was very caring in explaining the menu. We will definitely be back if we're ever in the area again.
