amazing selection - Edit
When we came they had 6 different vegan cakes (both the more simple Kuchen & the more fancy Torten). Ask for options, as they don't mark all vegan ones as such.
Read moreThis is a real traditional cafe, and a s such obviously not a vegan place. It's beyond amazing that they have such a large selection of traditional cakes, something that's very hard to find in most other cities.
We tried 4 of their cakes, and all of them tasted and looked fantastic. This is a must-visit place when in the area, and good enough to be worth a little detour as well!

Surprised with Vegan Options - Edit
After being in many bakeries with no vegan options, it was surprising to walk in here and have them answer yes to that question. Vegan ice cream was marked, but you have to ask about the cakes. They had two vegan apple cake choices and a raspberry cheesecake option. I chose the apple/marzipan/brownie cake and it tasted great. My non vegan friend tried it and liked it better than what she ordered!

this place offers so many vegan cakes and more, I was positively surprised. In that sense it deserves four stars, for my own taste at least the cake I had was too sweet though, I'm generally not very into cakes with lots of cream though so maybe for people who are it's much more up their alley! Staff is kind, knows what's vegan and willingly answers all questions, the furniture is cozy but the premises and fake flowers are a bit old fashioned. Was a bit frustrated that the drinks with oatmilk are all much more expensive than the non vegan ones

Delicious vegan cake - Edit
Good selection of vegan cakes (watch out, not everything is vegan!), just ask what is vegan. The cakes are delicious; probably the best in Gießen. Pricing is fair and seating nice enough.

Das Café Geissner ist ein echter Geheimtipp! Von außen sieht das Café eher unscheinbar und etwas altmodisch aus, aber die Kuchen und Torten überzeugen. Es gibt eine recht große Auswahl an veganen Kuchen, die auch wechseln. Mein Favorit ist unter andersrum der Brownie-Birne Kuchen. Die Kuchen (4-6€) und Getränke sind allerdings recht teuer (was sie allerdings wert sind). Hafermilch ist mit Aufpreis vorhanden.

Schönes Konditoreienangebot, vegane Torten und Kuchen liegen vor, preislich für eine Konditorei völlig im Rahmen, Angebot variiert, es gab z.B. schon Schokotorte, Limettenkuchen und veganen Cheesecake.

A nice place for a drink and cake - especially when it is cold outside to warm up! It is beautifully decorated for christmas time ❄️🌟 They offer plant milk and a few vegan choices (I could chose among three)
