Cute cafe - Edit
They have plant based dishes but the menu doesn’t say vegan. There might be milk products in several menu; when ordering make sure you tell the staff you’re vegan.
Read moreI ordered plant based eel (unagi) don- no egg, no milk products, no gluten. It was the most expensive among all the dishes but good value for money.

not for vegan - Edit
The place is really cute with quite a few selections of antiques. It resembles a house in province France.
Read moreThe waiters are cute and helpful.
But it’s just not for vegans. When i went there end of January 2018, they had no vegan menu. I even called to see if they had some plates for vegans and over the phone, they explained they have about 4 selections.
However, when I got there, they explained they actually had no vegan plates, but what they can do is remove some non vegan ingredients like cheese from 2 pastas. It was annoying as I went out of the way to go to this place and made sure they had vegan menu, but they had another story to tell when I arrived.
Their bread is not vegan either and there are many hidden ingredients that are not vegan which waiters are not aware of.
So, this place is worth going if you are in the area plus if you are not vegan.
Pros: cute restaurant
Cons: no vegan menu, far from Nagoya and difficult to get to

A lovely pasta lunch - Edit
My mom and I were in Yoro for a day and discovered that there was a vegetarian restaurant called Cafe Fleur in Kuwana, so I decided to take a visit there. It's relatively easy to get there... there are two different buses you can take. There is also parking available. Outside there is a patio and really cute garden. I was surprised to hear that they serve no meat, fish, or meat byproducts but do serve dairy and eggs, as lacto-ovo restaurants are somewhat uncommon in Japan. That being said, there were several dishes that were vegan or could be made vegan. We were too late to order the lunch sets but they were still serving single orders (tanpin) of pasta. The pasta is beautiful--I think they make it in-house.
