Highly recommended - Edit
Fully vegan, super friendly staff. Quite small and cosy - great for a small group but probably not for larger. Tried both food from the kitchen (mostly brunch type meals, I had a sausage wrap) and some baked food from the counter, both very nice.

An absolute gem of a Cafe - Edit
We have been to Cafe Carmel a few times living not too far away in Norfolk. It’s a fabulous place with terrific food and lovely people who work there. Our dog is always welcome and my the cakes are sensational ! I have also enjoyed the all day breakfast but my personal favourite are the Cheeze Scones which we usually take away with us !

Brilliant cafe friendly people, near the seaside and a park so great location too. I tried a burger on one day(I think it was the breakfast burger) and picked up some pastries and salad on another for a nice lunch. Would definitely visit again if in the area

Our fave place in Norfolk - Edit
Amazing food & service as always. We always look forward to visiting Carmel’s when we are visiting Norfolk.
Read moreWe went as a family of 6 (2 vegans), everyone enjoyed their feast. 5 of us had the all day breakfast, 1 had a burger. It was a tough choice, it being morning, helped our decision making!
The cakes are amazing. As we couldn’t decide, we ordered 5 slices, had a bit then passed it on to the next person. Every single cake was incredible. My fave was the maple & pecan.
I also had a cheeze scone whilst waiting for the party - just because it was vegan. My only regret is not taking some home.
Loved everything about our visit & will look forward to the next time.
Pros: Everything is vegan & amazing, Dogs are welcome, The lovely vibe
Cons: We don’t live closer

Fab place! - Edit
What a great find! What would we do without Happy Cow? To find a vegan cafe like this was so lovely. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Our little dogs were told they were welcome on the settees! There were 8 of us and our order came so quick. We had burgers, soup and wrap, all day brekkie and superfood salad and it was all delicious. We took cakes back with us and wow, what a selection! This cafe is a must visit! So good to be able to eat in an all vegan place.

Gem of a cafe for everyone - Edit
Such a great place for anyone, not just vegans, as there is something for every taste: we had a delicious breakfast roll with all the fake meat, Moroccan soup, the best cheese scones, the BEST coffee and walnut cake. Plus really friendly and helpful staff who recommended loads of other places with vegan options in the area. Cannot fault this place: as a vegan it's what you hope to find wherever you go.

Man I wish I had discovered this place years ago. Super lovely and personable owners, properly family run - couldn’t do enough for the 4 of us, happily accommodating tiny humans. Food is superb, menu changes or special request encouraged and the cakes and scones divine! So so so good, go today!!

Really great service and was able to adapt the menu for allergies (I am vegan, gluten free with no oats or soya). Dog friendly, child friendly and they have recently expanded so there are more tables! Amazing home made hash browns.

Beautiful - Edit
Immersed as we are in the growing and vibrant city of Milton Keynes, one might expect us blessed with numerous vegan options. Sadly, inexplicably, this is not the case. But ah, more the joy when on holiday to find that gem at which one can browse a menu with the calm eye that has no need to ask questions of providence!

A vegan oasis - Edit
We only ran from the car parked outside in to the cafe during a heavy downpour and the lovely owner asked if she could pull up a heater to dry us out - how fab is that! The menu looked fab but unfortunately we didn't have room for a meal so opted for a cheese scone for me and a toasted teacake for my companion, with hot chocolates all round. This is a really cosy oasis with welcoming and friendly owners. We could see dogs were very welcome with well behaved owners😉 Would definitely visit again when in the area.

Perfect for dogs and human alike 😊 - Edit
After twice arriving at Carmel Cafe when they were shut, we finally managed to get the timing right this holiday - and it was definitely worth the wait. Selecting from the build-your-own sandwich or wrap list, I had a fabulous sausage, facon and onion sandwich on multigrain bread, which was just perfect. My husband chose his long established favourite, garlic mushrooms on toast, and declared Carmel’s to be one of the best he’d ever tasted. The coffee and the chai latte was faultless and the baked goods looked so good we ended up taking scones and a slice of gateau home with us - they tasted as good as they looked. For me, however, the greatest joy was just how welcome our three dogs were made to feel. Biscuits were offered to all but the oldest, tired out from the walk along the beach, was also offered a comfy sofa to recover on. Caramel Cafe is definitely the best places we have ever been to on the east coast 😊
