They had two vegan breakfast - avocado toast, and essentially avocado toast with a portobello. I had the latter and it was delicious. They also have very fresh juice and strong coffee!

Tasty, fresh and nice staff - Edit
One of the far away places where you still can find not only „leave away this and that“-vegan options.
Read moreThe taste was amazing. Staff is friendly, prices are ok for this region. Maybe they offer some more options In the future but one should remember where you are and that getting plant based milk at the „end of the world“ was not common back in the days
Pros: Taste, Staff, Freshness

Warm filling vegan breakfast - Edit
We found this place when needing somewhere open early close enough to the bus station after arriving on an early bus. Good food, nice coffee, not many options. Can be very busy as provides breakfast for some accommodation nearby

Need to fix the toast situation - Edit
Food is nice but what they call a toast is really just a half a toast that costs around 8 euros.

cozy café with vegan options - Edit
It's the best if not the only option to have a really good vegan breakfast in Akureyri. The vegan apple pie was amazing, and I loved the cozy interior.

Willing to adapt - Edit
I went to Cafe Berlin, hoping that they would have something I could eat. For health reasons, my diet is quite restricted. I’m nit vegan, but can’t have eggs or dairy, I also need gluten-free and because I’m on a low FODMAPS diet, can’t have onion or garlic. But, despite all that, they did have a dish I could eat Chicken Salad. The chef replaced the Parmesan potatoes with sweet potato, as well as one other change. So no, my meal was not vegetarian or vegan, but I thought it would be helpful for others to know that they are willing to adapt dishes to meet your needs. It was incredibly delicious- and very filling, too!

Cons: Just a little more than I’d normally pay.

Delicious vegan burger - Edit
One of the best vegan burgers that I ever tried. I'm not kidding. It tastes so realistic that it's almost scary. Spicy sauce on top and grilled sweet potato on the side. Amazing.

Few options but they are worthy. - Edit
There are few vegan options available for breakfast and for lunch but they are tasty and worthy. There are vegan desserts too like the apple cake and the snickers cake. I ate an apple cake and it was homemade and very good.

Good for breakfast and coffee - Edit
Berlin serves breakfast and brunch all day long. My lacto-ovo company was very happy with the vegetable quiche and the salmon avocado brunch. I had the portobello toast with avocado. Cozy place and free refills on the coffee. They also have almond and soy milk. Nice place for vegetarians but akureyri still hasn't been veganized fully.

Perfect breakfast after a long ride - Edit
The menu offers a couple of vegan options for breakfast and one for lunch. We tried the portobello mushroom on toast with avo, vegan cheese, spinach and sriracha mayo and it was super tasty and filling. In the usual price range of Icelandic restaurant.
