Decent food and clearly labeled options - Edit
If you look up the menu online, it was listed everything the is vegetarian, vegan, and substitutions that can be made to make the vegetarian offerings vegan if possible. The beet salad was very yummy! I also got the bourbon wrap which was good. Nothing overwhelmingly good though.

So delicious! - Edit
We had vegan split pea soup, golden beet hummus and the polenta wings. Everything was so delicious! The hummus was some of the best I've had. The polenta wings were perfectly cooked with just the right amount of sauce.

A cool local spot - Edit
Great vibes and multiple vegetarian options but vegan options are minimal. Focaccia bread served with every dinner is vegan and to die for! They offer polenta as a veggie meat substitute in most dishes and now offer the Impossible burger. Great beer and cocktails!

Nice spot in Allentown - Edit
Cafe 59 has a separate Vegan/Vegetarian menu. So you know this place will have options. Options they have for both vegans, vegetarians your Omni friends. They have a full bar and it’s a friendly place. I had sweet & sour beets with red onion & spinach leaf. I also had hummus with cucumber and focaccia bread. It was great. And the beer selection was good.

Highly Recommend - Edit
This is a wonderful place for vegans and vegetarians, especially those who are in groups with different diets. There is a very clearly labeled vegan/vegetarian menu on the back of the menu, and almost everything can be easily modified to be vegan. The staff is very good about modifications and dietary restrictions. If you are unsure about anything, they are more than willing to answer your questions. The food was absolutely phenomenal, the portions were huge, and there is a wide variety. Also, the bread is to die for. I would literally go back just for the bread.

Good selection and service, tasty food - Edit
I had an overall good experience here. They told me none of their current beer was vegan (huge selection!), so if you want to drink, maybe look for other places or ask.
Read moreThe options were not clearly labeled, but the very friendly staff helped me out and was very open to exchanging food components. E.g. I had the vegetable wrap, but I could swap the non-veg pesto for hummus. You can ask anything, the people there are knowledgable and will be happy to help.
The food was good in terms of portion, taste and price. Small place, but nice to chill out in summer nights
Pros: Good food and portions, Affordable, Staff super friendly and knowledgable
Cons: Not many vegan options, Options not always clearly labeled, ask

Isn't beer vegan? It's just fermented grains.

You're right that beer is typically based on grains. However, it may be common practice in many places around the globe that beer (also wine, juices and other drinks) are filtered using animal based ingredients such as gelatine in order to remove any unintended substances / remnants from the beverage (e.g. tiny apple pieces in a juice). The producers are not obliged to declare this on the packaging.

Bright, relaxed, and quirky cafe with diverse menu. - Edit
Funky cafe with a bunch of vegetarian options in Allentown. Kitchen being open late is a big bonus. Vegan options aren’t very clearly labeled...will have to do more investigation.
Read moreService was relaxed, friendly, and efficient. Lots of friendly devoted regulars at the bar. As a beer nerd, I was very pleased with their beer list...both cans, bottles, and draft.
Had the roasted vegetable wrap...which was immense. Very tasty. Densely packed with a huge variety of flavorful roasted veggies. Not as much of a variety of textures though...could have used some sprouts, carrots, or something for added crunchy contrast.
Look forward to returning to try other items and taking advantage of their later kitchen hours.
PS. One of the regulars recommended the brunch...and said that people go nuts for the house made blue cheese sauce.
Pros: Kitchen open late, Diverse menu, Fantastic beer list
Cons: Veg options not clearly labeled

great lunch spot - Edit
Lots of vegan options. I ordered the vegan polenta wrap which was pretty good. A little heavy on the rice, but a nice sweet Asian sauce. Bartender didn't seem comfortable with the vegan menu, so be sure to look for vegan marked item. Iced tea tasted oversteeped and old.

Cons: Iced tea was awful

Good food and service - Edit
The wraps there are really good and their pasta salad vegan. The waitress are very knowledgeable and willing to ask the kitchen what is in stuff. The atmosphere is young and hip.

Excellent lunch spot - Edit
I work near Cafe 59, so I go here a lot for lunch (at least, when the weather is nice enough to walk). They make the best salad I've ever had. Probably because of the lemon-poppyseed dressing--it's delicious! (I don't like vinegar, so I'm usually not a salad fan.) I'm pretty sure the dressing is vegan, but I've never asked. The corn & curry soup is fantastic (and definitely vegan). My favorite sandwich is the hummus sandwich (it's not vegan as on the menu, but I'm sure it's fine without the cheese)--I get them to add tomatoes, which I think makes it even better.
Read moreThier coffee/espresso is also decent. If you are a fan of sickeningly sweet espresso drinks, then they have drink options that will make you giddy (otherwise, steer clear of anything described on thier coffee menu).
Pros: excellent food
Cons: not open for dinner
