Serves meat, vegan options available. Cafe and tapas bar in the Albaicin neighborhood, overlooking the Alhambra with an atmosphere of both neighborhood and international. Has vegan breakfast toast, soy milk and orange juice. A specialty toast called escalivada consists of roasted eggplant, roasted red pepper, white asparagus and hot pepper. Open Mon-Fri 08:30-16:00, Sat 09:00-20:00, Sun 09:00-16:00. Open Wed-Thur until 8pm during April-June and September-October.

Helpful server. 2 vegan options for breakfast - Edit
Not many vegan options. More vegetarian options though. Really only 2 vegan choices, but are both good for a quick breakfast.
Read moreCan have toast with tomato or toast with eggplant, tomato and other toppings. Either comes with a juice, coffee, or tea, for 6 euro.
Good view of Al Hambra and in a nice little square. The server is very friendly and helpful.

Really friendly staff and clearly labeled what is vegan and what isn't. The terrace has a nice view on the Alhambra. The toasts are good!

Lovely little neighbourhood cafe spilling out onto the pavement in a picturesque square in Albaicin with views of the Alhambra. We had the vegan toast with aubergines that others have mentioned. English menu available via QR code by the door. Very busy owner running around doing everything, but the service was quite quick and friendly. He spoke Spanish but definitely understood orders and questions in English. Obviously used to serving lots of tourists alongside the locals

Tolle Atmosphäre - Edit
Das Café ist schön im Albaicín gelegen und hat eine tolle Atmosphäre. Es gibt sowohl draußen, als auch drinnen Plätze & vegane/vegetarische/glutenfrei mehr Sachen sind in der Karte gut ausgeschildert. Wirkt nicht so touristisch, sondern echt spanisch, der Service ist super herzlich! Super Preise! Lohnt sich!

Rico pero pocas opciones veganas - Edit
Es un lugar para desayunar economico y la comida está muy rica pero apenas tienen opciones veganas, solo leche de soja. Tampoco leche sin lactosa (para vegetarianos)

Llegamos la tarde del 28/02, jueves, sobre las 17 hs (una hora antes del cierre que consta en el horario en Tripadvisor). Sin carteles fuera que indicaran una modificación en el horario debido al día festivo.
Read moreEl sitio estaba abarrotado pero conseguimos encontrar una mesa, llena de platos y vasos sucios, vacía. En la mesa, un cartel con escrito “self - service”. Decidimos recoger nosotras mismas la mesa y le decimos al camarero, que estaba dentro preparando cafés, que se lo vamos dejando en el mostrador para poder pedir. Nos contesta que estupendo. Una vez recogida la mesa, entro con la intención de pedir dos cafés. No me deja acabar, me dice que no está sirviendo más y que debía cerrar hacía 10 minutos. Que pensaba que yo era una cliente que se había ofrecido a recoger la mesa al acabar. Le explico que hemos recogido la mesa para poder pedir, haciéndole un favor. Me dice que lo siente, pero que no me servirá nada. Lo absurdo de la situación es que acababa de servir un café para llevar a otra chica a mi lado.
Creo que cuesta poco cuidar a la clientela y que, dado que prácticamente le habíamos despejado una mesa completa, no hubiese sido difícil prepararnos dos cafés (aunque hubiese sido para llevar). Le di las gracias y le comenté que había perdido dos clientes. La respuesta fue que no era una gran pérdida para el local.
No volveré a este lugar. Una pena.
