Nice Casual Spot

We really enjoy visiting Cadence! The staff are friendly and the food is delicious. Portion sizes are fair and well priced. We have even had success in bringing some picky nonvegan eaters here. They seem to pride themselves on a variety of nondairy cheeses made in-house. The desserts are also interesting and tasty! The space can get a bit crowded and wait times can also end up being a bit lengthy, but overall a good experience.

Pros: Quality Ingredients, Good Desserts, Good Value

A Disappointment

The 5 of us stopped in for a late lunch one afternoon after my first bridal appointment at a local dress store! We found the service slow and didn't even get our drinks until half way through the meal. The meals were nothing special and we even had to request 2 of them to be warmed up. I would expect for the price of the curry, it would be something I couldn't just make myself (and im not done great chef). We had a couple doughnuts for dessert 'to go' and they were suoer dense and so dry Id need a drink to eat them. It's so hard to find good veg/vegan place so I was very disappointed this one really fell through.

Pros: Vegan/vegetarian options

Cons: Recipes are uninspired, not flavourable

Great Vegan restaurant

Stopped by on a whim so glad we did as the staff & the food were fantastic.
We had the Philly Cheesesteak and the Broccoli Mac & Cheese(gf) both came with a lovely salad and nice selection of kombucha and beer. Many gluten free items which was great for me. My husband loved both our meal selections and he has been meat & potatoes his whole life. Will come again to enjoy this wuaint relaxed vegan restaurant.

Delicious!

Lots of dishes that are reasonably priced. I got the broccoli Mac & cheese with a side salad and donut for desert and I feel satisfied. Parking is easy considering it’s downtown.

Quality

I recently visited with a good friend and we both enjoyed our time there. The service was both friendly and helpful. The food was great, I had the red Thai curry and she had the mushroom pasta. We both had a beer from the local Wellington brewery to top it all off. No complaints at all.

Great Place!

I have been in vegan restraunts from New York to San Francisco, but the chickpea omlette and salad I had at Cadence, was one of the tastiest creations I've had anywhere. The raspberry scone that I had for dessert was equally tasty! Semi-spacious, with a cozy, almost rustic atmosphere. And a waitress and chef who served me with a smile. Definitely going back!

Pros: Delicious food., Reasonably priced., Pleasant atmosphere.

I have been in many vegan restraunts. From New York to San Francisco. But the chickpea omlette and salad I had at Cadence was without a doubt one of the tastiest creations I've ha at Cadence in Guelph

New Menu

New menu still with some old favourites Takes some time to get the food but it worth waiting for. Not a lot of choice for dessert tonight which was kind of a bummer. Had the portobello cheesesteak which was delish. Nice to have some new choices

Good food and desserts

All their desserts are amazing. It's a shame that their customer service is lacking personality and quality. Really dampens the experience. I would love to go there more often but it's hard to come back when the staff don't greet you with a smile.

Pros: All vegan stuff!

Cons: Not very friendly customer service

Pluses and minuses

We like to support vegan businesses, so decided to try lunch at Cadence. I’d say it was 50-50. The broccoli Mac n cheese was really flavourful but the side salad was just meh oil and vinegar. The broccoli soup was ok. A little too much sage maybe? And would have been nice to have pieces of broccoli in it and some of that awesome cheddar. The biscuits were too salty and undercooked. A plus were the vegan cookbooks to browse.

Alright

It has a fair bit of options as an all vegan place. They are costy, and we weren't big on the food. The loaded nachos were lacking and got soggy fairly quick, and the biscuits didn't taste good. Haven't had since the first time, but hear great things still!

Tried to remember from months ago, so this review is also lacking.

Loved my first visit!

A table reserved for us by the window. The specials divine. Mushroom soup. Chickpea omelette. Chai Latte. The service wonderful. A parting scone so delicious it didn't last the night. I WILL be back!

Pros: Loved the music too :)

Welcoming

A very pleasant and welcoming atmosphere and the food - tomato soup, chickpea omelette and mango drink - was extremely tasty and filling. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone of any dietary persuasion. My sister liked it too.

Cadence

I've eaten at Cadence twice now and enjoyed both meals. Having just become a vegetarian recently, finding places that serve these meals is quite exciting. They do have a limited menu but the items they do have are tasty! I also found the staff to be pleasant and accommodating. The meals are priced comparably with other restaurants serving this type of fare.

wanted to like it

We've been here several times. Food is just so so and there are very few menu options. Desserts are really good though! I heard they've become entirely vegan so that is great. Maybe the menu will expand now and the prices will go down.

Saved My Christmas

I ordered a Cadence Burger with biscuits and mushroom gravy and a hazelnut chocolate torte to eat at my family christmas gathering and it was immaculate as usual. Everything was fresh and delicious. I love this place so much. It would have been a rough experience without it. Thank you, Cadence.

AMAZING!!!!! This is what Guelph was missing

We have eaten here quite a few times since they opened and never a bad experience, the food is consistently amazing and the service is out of this world.

Pros: service, food, atmosphere

Cons: closed on Sundays and Mondays

Pretty much perfect

Came here for lunch and ordered the chickpea omelette with house salad. The portions were sizeable enough to be filling without leaving leftovers, and everything was fresh and prepared to order. The service was absolutely phenomenal, too. Friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Prices were reasonable, and given the overall quality of the experience I would not hesitate to return. The atmosphere was excellent, comfortable yet spacious with nice art and music that was at a good volume. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Guelph area a hundred times over. My one gripe is that the temperature in the building was a bit cool and ended up chilling the hot drinks and food a little quickly, but it was easy to overlook given just how great everything else was.

Pros: Amazing service, Delicious, fresh food in good portions, Great atmosphere
