Wonderful food and atmosphere - Edit
This was our first stop in Liverpool after settling in at our hotel. The atmosphere was cheerful, lively, and inviting. We got the vegan variety meal and everything was delicious.
Read moreIt was a nice change from usual Indian restaurants as everything is inspired by street food and snacks. The staff was really sweet; we asked if we could buy their enamel pin and they just gave it to us!
Pros: Flavorful, interesting food, Scratches the “junk food” itch, Really fun atmosphere

Amazing beers and food - Edit
Went on a Saturday evening - very busy I would recommend booking a table. Staff were kind and helpful. Me and my boyfriend shared the vegan combo / sharing platter and everything was amazing! It was really nice to try dishes that weren’t just curry! The beer selection is amazing - I recommend the mango lassi beer
Read moreMe and my friend went and I again got vegan platter and had a mango lassi beer and a few cocktails ! Both food and service was amazing. My second time at this Bondobust in Liverpool and both were great. I’ve been to the Bondobust in Manchester too and the food is always delicious - good amount of vegan options but could always have more

Amazing - maybe the best one I’ve been to! - Edit
Having lived in Manchester for 2 years and going to the Bundobusts over there, I knew how amazing Bundobust is. However, this location blew me away; the food was super delicious and fresh, the staff amazing and the atmosphere was refreshing! Top tip is to have signed up to their mailing list to get various goodies on the house!
Read moreThe only downside is that they’re not a fully vegan restaurant, but I hope one day they’ll see the light!

Amazing Indian street food - Edit
We had the vegan combo for 2: sweetcorn chevdo, okra fries, bhajis, Bhel puri, raghda pethis & Chloe saag vegan chais and non alcoholic cocktails. Food and drink was all amazing. Favourite was probably the Chloe saag (rice chickpea curry). Nice atmosphere. The cocktails were labelled as vegan but not sure about beers & wine.
Read moreSecond visit: glad to see they’ve moved away from disposable bowls & have the metal ones. We got the vegan combo for 2 festive curry & rice, extra breads/parathas which was good for 4 people for lunch. We also had some lovely vegan chais

Great for groups or solo dining - Edit
Buzzing canteen vibe with small portions of street food, like a tapas. All served in card containers, which you'll hate if you're expecting plates and proper crockery. Excellent beer. Okra fries are outstanding. Value for money isn't great - a vegan sharing platter, one extra portion of okra and two beers set us back £50.

Top vegan options - Edit
I’ve enjoyed the Bundobusts in 3 locations and while this is maybe the least appealing venue of the 3 there is absolutely nothing else to complain about. Many great vegan options are available for their standard Indian fare (the rest being vegetarian), and seasonal fusion events (e.g. this month’s Oktoberfest crossover) add variety for the returning customer. Their range of bespoke beers just add to the interest. Service is fast and friendly. Highly recommended.

Cons: Maybe not the cosiest building

Tasty and helpful service. - Edit
I ordered the lentil dhal and okra fries with a vegan chai tea which were all lovely.
Read moreThere was a quick service and a good atmosphere. It's Pricey for what you get but the quality is there.
A dip included with the okra fries would've been nice, but you can use the other dishes if they're saucy.

Been to this location and one in Manchester. Lovely vegan options. Only complaints, it feels a bit pricey and not the most accessible as both of the locations I’ve been to have had stairs

Very cool - Edit
We have been to the Leeds one before so this time tried other things off the menu which were also good. My other half wished he’d seen the Euros Special menu they were doing (I saw it but didn’t know he hadn’t). All very good and would eat here again

Can’t go wrong - Edit
Excellent place for vegans to visit as so much of the menu is clearly marked. We came as a party of 7, two vegans and remainder meat eaters. We decided to order the entire menu (it’s an option for £115) so we could try as much as possible. Everything came remarkably quick! The server kindly marked the vegan food pots with a “V” so it was clear what we could eat. My favourites were the bhajis, bhel puri, tarka dhal & chole saag - but everything was wonderful. Plenty of space in the venue and nice chilled atmosphere.

Really nice - Edit
Very tasty Indian food at a reasonable price. I particularly liked the dhal makhani and the sprout bhajis. 4*s because it would be so easily improved with the addition of a vegan yoghurt or vegan desserts of some kind

Great spices, great beer - Edit
Been to Manchester Bundobust before so had to try here also. Fantastic range of beers and food is amazing. Everything is so tasty, and not just hot spicy but flavourful spices. And they have amazing specials. We had brussel sprout bhajis, and a festive dhal which tasted so much like a really nice keema. And staff here were so good.

Great decor, big choice of interesting vegan options, lovely staff, just a really nice place to eat. So nice to find somewhere with lots of vegan choices which aren't meat substitutes, and that taste as good as they sound.

I’ve been to the bundobust in Leeds before but the Liverpool location has to be even better!
Read moreFirst of all, the location is perfect and the exterior/interior is so cool - love the layout and the vibe. The staff were super friendly, happy and excited to be there. We sat near the window and it was great to watch the street as we chatted.
We tried the sprout Bhaji- a Christmas special and it’s a combo that should always exist! So good!!
We didn’t get the combo this time as it went to waste last time, instead we worsened 2 curries, some okra fries and the bhajis. The right amount and tasted delicious. Always hits the spot
Pros: Tasty, warming food , Always exciting new things to try , Great atmosphere and staff

A solid favourite of mine - Edit
Vegetarian Indian street food on Bold Street, and most of their menu is vegan 🌱
Read moreThey’re all small dishes so we usually order 5-6 dishes between two people. Everything tastes so fresh and full of flavour 🤤
Bundobust also have their own brewery so if you’re into craft beer etc then you’ll probably appreciate the selection 🍻 I’m more of a cocktail girl myself so was pleased to see that all of their cocktails are vegan friendly 🍹
It’s such a great spot to go for food before a night out and also a prime people watching venue if you’re nosy like me & manage to get a window seat!! 🫣
Pros: Lots of vegan food & drink, Small business, Fresh flavourful food
Cons: Single use plates & cutlery

Vegan-friendly Indian vegetarian Gastro-Pub - Edit
No-frills Indian-food gastro-pub, with many clearly labelled vegan dishes. Affordable prices, tasty food, very generous portions. Can be overcrowded and loud on weekends. Not for a fancy outing: simple bench seating, single-use paper dishes/cutlery
